In this video I will show you how to use an RC filter to smoothen the analogWrite output voltage.

I see how you can definitely clean up the output voltage with this, compared to standard PWM. What I was wondering is when you would need to do this? You spoke of two examples for using PWM - dimming an LED and changing motor speeds, but would either of these benefit from a more consistent analog voltage output? Having fun with the Arduino and your videos are definitely helping.

Thank you for the kind words and the question. When the LED is running constantly instead of pulsed, it will not flicker in movies, especially snow motion movies. When a motor is driven by a constant current, it will make less noise. In fact, you can use a motor as speaker if you drive it with PWM. However keep in mind to not drive the motor directly from the pin of the Arduino, you will need an amplifier for everything that consumes more than 20mA, otherwise you might damage the Arduino.

Interesting video. This time more about electronics. I guess that is why Arduino is difficult for some guys, since you need to learn coding and electronics at the same time. For me it was fine, but I fear for a total beginner maybe a bit too fast. I must myself rethink why at timestamp 1:41 the unit [Ohm * F] is equal to unit [s]. What is that video at timestamp 7:56? Looks like that guy do short videos with hidden messages. Did you decrypt that message?

thank you for the feedback - [Ohm * F] = [s] ... [F] is also [C / V] (which is electric charge / voltage) and [C] is also [A * s] and [Ω] is also [V / A]. not sure which video you are referring to

@@playduino Thank you. I already found it a few minutes ago. I saw a guy that explained it even with SI units only. But that is of course over the top. Jump to time stamp 7:56 in you video. You are using the calculator. And the bottom of that window you can see 3 websites. One about "RJ45", one about "IEEE 754" and one about "uvb 76". I asked about the last one.

@@playduino Ah. Ok. I also didn't scanned that. I only saw that he has a lot of similar videos also without QR code. I thought it was suggested because you already watched it. I don't know why, but every time I see someone using his web browser or going through his disc, I always watch out for file names, directory names, bookmarks and suggestions (for example if someone start writing in a web browser (since in most cases it suggest previously visited sites). Have a nice weekend. I am looking forward your next video.
