Smooth Criminal but if it was on Thriller (Znop 80s Remix)

HIIIIIIIII i remade smooth criminal but with synths from the early 80s to make it sound like from thriller :DDD (i know its not perfect can u go away my name is znop my name is znop)
I tried staying true to the original mix and just replaced all of the late-80s FM synths with earlier analog ones. Hope it's cool

Thanks! I use FL Studio as my main workstation, but any DAW can work well if you know how to use it. Ableton, Cubase, Pro Tools and Logic are all great options, but they're pretty expensive. As for the synths, I use a smattering of equipment. I use a Yamaha CP Reface to replicate Rhodes, Behringer Poly D to replicate a Minimoog (With some layered Moog M32 Modules) and a DX7 for added texture. I use two main VST packages (plugins) from Roland Cloud and Arturia Lab. Arturia Lab should be your main focus if you want to get into retro Synth music, as they've got some amazing plugins that really sell the authenticity, it's definitely worth the cost. The drums are just sample WAV files taken from a Linn LM1, you can find those free to download on the web, but I also layer the drums with an MT-Powerdrum VST. I also recommend you watch some loose interviews from Bruce Swedien, Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson regarding the recording process - as watching various interviews with those three have really helped me develop my understanding of how they were able to craft music so well :P

You're right, Smooth Criminal was on the Bad album - but this is a _remix_ of Smooth Criminal to make it sound as if it was on the Thriller album rather than Bad.
