To add a bit to the ring thing: Fern's bracelet has a lotus flower in full bloom, whereas Frieren's is just a bud. Himmel's love was fated never to come to fruition, as Frieren would not come to understand humans in his lifetime. But Stark and Fern are a different case, and just like the design on her bracelet, they just might make their love bloom.

One thing is Frieren patting of the head is something one would do to a kid, meaning she was praising Heither like a kid, since he said he was only a grown up by pretense, and then she just keep that kinda praise from then on. Also when you get to a sertain strenght lvl, one would not actually take damage from falls, due to being stronger/durable that max velocity when falling. Not taking into this would be hits that would trow you faster dow. Sure it was convinient that he had that spell, he is a assessory merchant if I remember right, so it does make sense that he had that.
