I can relate to what Max says about being introverted. I love video game music but I don't think I would ever try the things that he has. I commend him for what he has accomplished. His channel is fantastic. :)

Everytime i'm feeling down or depressed I listen to your gaming music arrangements and it always cheers me up. After watching this I can tell you're not only amazingly talented but an awesome dude! It's so inspiring to hear him talk. I am big into music myself, and I hope to become a professinal musician one day. Currently that involves playing pop arrangements for trombone by Christopher Bill. But i hope to one day arrange/compose my own stuff and have some fun sharing it. Because your not succeding unless your having fun when it comes to music. You can be a good musician and have music stress you out, and at the same time you can be a bad musician but be having a blast. And doing both (being good and having fun) is what it's all about.

This is very interesting. Most of the panels I've seen have been strictly Question and Answer, and Smooth gets more in depth with talking about music and games... and that's just... awesome, really.

I like the way that he's very precise about this stuff, I have an ear too and I immediately hear it when somebody is doing a "wrong" interpretation of some chords or melody. Cause I have it exactly in my sonic memory and I know when people play it wrong.

he's right about video game music. Koji Kondo (composer for nintendo) said he was very challenged making songs like the SMB theme because he knew it would be heard over and over and he didn't want it to be repetitive

I agree with the Touhou aspects he went over. ZUN is my hero because of the Touhou Project actually, very much with the music he composes for his games. I will say that there is many other awesome soundtrack for Touhou besides U.N. Owen was her? and Necrofantasia (I really wish him the best of luck on that song) which are the most popular and tend to overshadow the rest of the soundtracks, still he did justice with his hard work. Still, I think Smooth McGroove is a really fantastic man, and I'm thankful for his works that span through the video game soundtrack genre, I'm really looking forwards to see what he has in store next. ^^
