Part 3: • Smoove L: My Line on '...
Part 1: • Smoove L Avoids Vlad's...
--------
In this clip, Smoove L talked about taking music serious around the age of 16. He recounted the origins of his name and how he's modified to date. Smoove L also described how he got introduced to Brooklyn Drill and what distinguishes the sound.
In this clip, Smoove L explained the backstory regarding the temporary removal of his hit song "New Apollos" from streaming platforms. According to Smoove L, the original beat for song was never purchased by him and was eventually sold to Travis Scott. The beat was used for Travis's collab with the late Pop Smoke.

Bobby and Rowdy made Gangster Rap/Drill. Curly Sav Dah Dah made regular Chicago based drill. 22Gz is the first person who used A UK beat pattern for drill with AXL for suburban. You right. Bobby & Rowdy didn't promote the GDK shit or mention opps like the new generation of Brooklyn. Only thing I heard Bobby say was "twirl then he drop nigga" in Hot Nigga and back then never heard of NY gd's twirlers or Blikxys. And in the video for Shmoney Dance, towards the end, Rowdy dropped the rakes so smoothly you wouldn't even notice. We didn't know who their opps were cuz they kept it low-key. Then came Fivio, Sheff G, 22gz, etc. then we knew wtf Woo & Choo were.
