I don’t offer sealing, just too much can go wrong and extra customer expectation. I started my business with the intention of having a better work life balance so I keep things simple. I graft and make a decent living. That’s enough for me now. Reference resanding, I just always explain I will be back asap once dry. And never take payment until job done so they have confidence you will be back.

Great videos. Regarding the sand/weed issues. As a garden and commercial grounds maintenence guy, the weeds have been relentless this year. As you've got your PA1/6 license, instead of offering sealing why don't you offer to return a few weeks later to apply a weedkiller instead. Also invest in a snow shovel for all that debris you're picking up, saves your back over the dustpan massively.

Great result. Also Thank you for always being so transparent. A lot of people have the same thoughts/ struggles and are not sure if they are alone with them. The rants are as important as the enthusiasm and positivity.

Hi Jake, re the sanding. I tell all my customers they'll loose some when it rains especially heavily and leave them a spare bag for that reason. Saves hassle going back.

Hi nice work you done a good job on that, about that tree the roots didnt grow down they are along the top of the ground, that means it will be easy for the wind to blow it down taking some top soil with itso i reckon those loose tiles might uprooted a bit to, anyway i wouldn't park to close under that tree in windy weather, cheer's .☘

Hey mate regarding sealing off! Tbh. I don’t think it’s worth the money. Yes it cures the sand….. and stops weeds from growing! But on the flip side it also stops the rain from draining as well. So you’ll find where water stands for long periods then it creates moss growth which looks just as bad as weeds. I now tell my customers to keep the cost of sealing off and use it to have the drive washed again in a year or two. I always put hypo down so that helps kill off most of the weeds. So you shouldn’t get re growth in a week or two doing it like this. Hope it helps. Ja Powershift cleaning

I think the rants are highly useful and thought provoking for various topics. Sid uses the thicker hose (low pressure) and it’s……ORANGE! 😂.

I’ve only found you and your content is excellent , thank you. I’m only getting started. I’m trying to work on a shoestring.I have come across a wooden reel and I wonder could you show me how to connect the high power hose to it? Or am I mad? You seem to have only one reel or do you and if so how do to bring the water to your tank? Thanks. I’m in Ireland do you ship there?

Can I ask why do a pre cleaning before you pressure wash, I thought the turbo nozzle takes care of it so you don’t have to? Also I find it really relaxing to watch when turbo nozzling through thick moss, mud and weeds so give us a few moments in real time 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Outside the US most tend to pre-clean, before using chemical, it dramatically reduces the amout of chemical needed and the runoff. I watch some US vids and the amount of chemical used is rediculous, some of the US guys are carring 100 or 200 litres ( 20 or 40 gallons of chlorine) where in the UK these guys carry 20 or 40 litres (5 ot 10 gallons) Outside the US there are far stricter controlls on the use and transport of chemicals. Here in AU you are limited to 250 litres ( 60 gallons) or 250Kg ( 450 pounds) of all dangerous goods carried ( open air) without a licence and plackards. Remember mixed solution is still dangerous goods. The cost of chemicals is also more expensive .... here in AU 12.5% chlorine is about $1.40 and litre ( $5 a gallon)

@@soundman6645thank u for replying to my comment I appreciate any information given that can shed some light on what these people have to deal with when pressure washing. Wasn’t aware of restrictions the US has concerning chemicals being carried. Thanks again 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I made a conscious decision to avoid offering a sealing service having seen so many KZbinrs struggling with various sealing-related problems. Might lose some business, but definitely less stress.

All of the bigger pressure washing lads don’t offer sealing because it’s rubbish. I will never seal anything it has no benefit to a driveway. Fly in clean and get paid. When a driveway is first installed nobody treats it

Now here are some questions others have raised elsewhere. . The whole question of sealing pavers and other surfaces, has been raised ....... Most who promote this, do so from a profit basis, THESE people very rarely address the viability and durability or lack there of. The whole concept of sealing any form of driveway is highly questionable. ANY clear finish will have very limited durability exposed to the sun and weather, especially when combined with wheel and foot traffic. Even opaque resins have their limited life exposed to the sun and weather even thick aggressive resins like line marking paint have a limited life. Ya better off selling more frequent cleaning rather than sealing .... " more environmentally sensitive" . On the matter of sand betweed pavers ( block paving), it must be understood, it is not and never was a permanent thing. Yes it washes out particularly on areas with any sort of slope and easily. It's just a fact of life with pavers. Maybee it might help to water it in ... ahh I don't think so. maybee you could put a little cement powder on with the dry sand .... ahh yeh I can see issues with that too. You have to "manage expectations". Maybee work out the wet sanding method. . AS for the roots lifting the pavers .... this is a big advantage of pavers. With pavers it's gona lift the pavers , but if it was a concrete slab it would look worse and be a much worse problem to rectify. At least with pavers there is the posibility of rectification without heavy equipment. . As for grass and weeds comming up between the pavers .... that is not realy. a "surface cleaning problem", that is a separate issue and should be addressed and charged separately. Yes by far the best option is to kill the weeds before and/or after with an appropriate product AND charge for that. . AS for talking in feet and inches .... WHY, the rest of the world appart from the yanks works in metric these days, it is they that need to start understanding the metric system ..... many of us grew up with both and can work at least partly in both. The yanks need to understand that you can not do any serious maths in the imperial system, Imperial just makes everything harder. . As for being a bit wingey ... ahh come on you are a pom ........ it all comes with the dull dreary weather. When the sun is out take ya shirt of for a little while and get some rays and supliment some Vitamin D .... serioulsy. It's a known and proven issue in the UK, partly from vit D deficiency and partly from the weather effecting the work
