'Smriti Irani will be defeated by Rahul Gandhi's PA…': Sanjay Raut on Congress' Amethi candidate

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut mocked BJP leader and Lok Sabha candidate Smriti Irani from Amethi constituency and said she would lose against Rahul Gandhi’s PA. Sanjay Raut’s statement came after Rahul Gandhi filed a nomination from Raebareli and not Amethi, where he was defeated by Smriti Irani in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Congress has fielded the Gandhi family’s close aide, KL Sharma, from Amethi. Sanjay Raut said, “People close to the Gandhi family have fought from Amethi previously...Why is the BJP so concerned? I feel mercy and pity for Smriti Irani because now she will lose from Rahul Gandhi's PA. This is a well-thought-out decision. KL Sharma is a loyal worker of the Congress party. He has worked for several years with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi in Amethi.”
