Spearheading India from the 11th economy in 2014 to the fifth largest major economy in ten years is not development? IMF and World Bank praising Modi's economic miracle and their predictions of India becoming the fourth biggest major economy in 2025 and third biggest economy by 2027 is not development? In which world do you live? Congress again and again claiming that Manmohan Singh is the one who started the wheels of development in 1991 are just blowing hot air. They forget that PV Narsimha Rao was the PM at that time. But India had gone bankrupt by 1990 and had to go to the IMF for a bailout. Britain even helped but they did not trust the Congress so they asked for the physical shifting of our gold stockpile to the Bank of England to be held in their vaults till India paid back the money to England. When the IMF gave the bailout, they enforced strict terms and conditions which India had to follow if they took the bailout package. Congress government with Manmohan Singh as finance minister agreed and made changes in India's economic policies very grudgingly according to the IMF terms. Now they want to claim credit for the economic miracle that Modi has created after 2014?
