The other sets are still under testing and commissioning works, to be prepared for revenue service soon. Later batches are likely still under construction or progressively shipped to Singapore for later testing and commissioning. Come 2026, the full fleet of R151s will make their debut on the NSEWL. From the Straits Times, Land Transport Authority (LTA) on Thursday said the first batch of 16 new six-carriage trains from Alstom will be put into service from Sunday (today), replacing the first three generations of NSEWL trains by 2026.
