can someone tell me what is the loud whining sound 5:07 cos i love it HAHA , only the newer b9tl has that sound . But the older SG plated volvo b9tl some have some dont have . CAN SOME ONE EXPLAIN?

it is the sound of the new volvo b9tl batch 4s. I LIKE IT TOO. Its only obvious on SG plated.

actually, not all sg plated. I guess SG5030 and aboves have it bcos they have the rear fans if u look closely. compare it wif the others like Tower Transit's, u will notice that some dont have. I know that the one wif the bus wrap does not have the rear fans so the sound is not clear

Extherial yes the radiator fan is the one that is loud. But it wears off after sometime. That's y some like SG5365C on SBST do not have the sound. Newer ones have it. I bet if u find the buses in the vid, the sound will b softer. Some do not have the radiator fan. SG5176-5185 also dun have

I'm pretty sure it's LTA decision rather than SMRT decision to have this in their fleet.

yes. LTA realise that there are way too many spare buses for tower transit, over 100. Also, SMRT are famous for their late trips. Hence, they got transferred to SMRT.

These Volvo b9tl are for Tower transit but LTA realised that there are way too many spare buses for tower transit and thats why they got transferred to SMRT while they already have been painted. (All buses in BUDEP) Will be painted.
