Iv had my 18 fatboy for over a year now and love it,u get used to the steering after a few runs, i added a screen,saddlebags and heated grips and its about as perfect a bike as u can buy in my opinion.

This bike is in my top 3 favorite so far. But I kinda love all the softails I have rode. I think the only thing you need yet is cruise control.

I just traded my 2019 SGS for a 2020 Fat boy yesterday (for real, not youtube BS). The SGS felt big and super heavy. Felt like driving a bus around a go cart track. I wasn't a fan but the fat boy...LOVE IT!! Was expecting it hard to maneuver but after 10 mins I had it down. Very enjoyable ride. Only thing I found was the shifting felt clunky

Patrick Gagne I’ve road the SGS, RGS, and the RKS now and the only one I kinda liked is the RKS.

@@WoodyRides I'm with you. I did everything to love my sgs. Stage 4, full legends suspension (highly recommend for the baggers), 14" bars etc etc. I kept throwing $$ at it just to realize that I don't like the bike. Test rode the fatboy and that was it for me. So easy to maneuver. Next week it gets stage III (will never do stage 4 again), v&h big shots, leds and cruise control. Pretty stoked. Great review. You can see my sgs by searching my name (I think lol). After 2-3 months, I traded it in.

Patrick Gagne I really want a softail with a 114! Stuck between a fxdr, breakout, and the fat boy. Why don’t you want another stage 4?
@patrickgagne87955 жыл бұрын
@@WoodyRides I was torn between the BO and the fatboy. After riding both, the fatboy was a clear choice for me. The stage 4 was too aggressive for the street. Running over 5k rpm on a twin to get the best gains isn't practical and the throttle was WAY too touchy. Especially in traffic or in town. My wife was constantly banging into me whenever I let off the throttle. Also, while on the highway, 6th gear is so tall that I was constantly shifting between 5th and 6th.

@@WoodyRides Forgot to mention, the 114 is awesome and the new mono shock softail frame is truly incredible. Here the link to my sgs vid if interested kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5ykaaqgqZySmsk

It’s a powerful bike. But it seems small for a 6feet tall person. It could maybe the leg pegs positioning. And it’s not exactly ideal for town use. Turning is painful

Heel-toe shifter? You aren't supposed to put your boot under the shifter.

Just bought a 2021 Fat Boy. I will likely sell it soon. Can't stand it. Every turn is a wrestling match, shifting is clunky, can't find neutral, it shakes at 45 mph, zero torque since dealer put on pipes (will sue dealer to put it back to stock), it doesn't, and never will sound like a Harley, and other things I don't like. I have an Indian in my garage which I love, although heavier than I'd like. The big takeaway for me is that Harley is really a mess. They are selling a "culture" and a "brand", and all the motorheads are Harley guys. Meanwhile, nobody really knows how these bike work, not even Harley. I called 10 authorized Harley service departments and got 11 different answers to the same question. It didn't matter if the subject was warranty or tuners, they were clueless (although each thought they were experts).

These motors have been out for 4 or 5 years now and everyone loves them. Everything about them is better. I don’t know if I believe you’re comment because it’s so far off from what everyone is saying about these new bikes. Some people call the Milwaukee 8 there best engine.
