it's definitely not easy for idols to have this kind of genre as the title track for their album. we know that its usually something upbeat and crazy, so this is a bold move of him. i mean i have seen it coming and im not disappointed at all. hes been in the industry for 14 years now and im happy that hes comfortable enough to have this song. it suits his voice so much, hes one of the very few idols who have versatile voices. Wow. Just. Wow. With Voice, Onew started expressing himself as a solo artist. With Dice, he broke the image people had about him as a "ballad singer". With Life goes on, he started to draw a new style, to balance what he learnt from Voice and Dice. Finally, with Circle, he found his style. He polished the way his sings, selected amazing songs. It’s difficult to fill the holes that characterize everyone’s soul. We are lacking, needy; we often feel ourself lonely, misunderstood. With his reassuring voice Onew sang some splendid words, trying to give comfort to those holes that I was talking about. He did not try to “fill” them, he just sat near to them telling them that he respects them, that the fact that they exist makes them “special like everything else”, maybe even more, because they are those things that consent us to distinguish a human being and his life experience from another one. We’re all the same in this world of differences that moves around following a circular path. I’m truly moved by the messages that he tried to convey, he is an unmatchable artist that maybe doesn’t deserve to be categorized like others in a genre full of shallowness. During his fan sign, Onew said there was no official producer for this album and he was the one "in charge" for that role (which means he probably directed the whole thing himself). “Jinki took on the role of the Executive Producer. It consists of choosing the composers/lyricists to work with, directing/guiding the artistic team, choosing the songs and arranging them in a cohesive tracklist, etc. It's basically being the boss of the entire project. Nothing on a project can pass without the executive producer having a say on it. Most sm albums used to have Lee Sooman as the executive producer. THIS IS A MASTERPIES. I was never into lyrics and music stuff but Onew's artistry is something else. How do I explain like some songs are meant to make you sad by the lyrics or the music and some happy but you know Onew is so great that this song will just touch your heart. as i get older, i realized i have been gravitating towards songs like these more. It sounds honest, grounded and profound. Its crazy how i was just a kid fascinated with glamorous, flashy and perfect world of kpop. In a way, i guess, both my idols and i grew up from then. Now, I appreciate when artist put part of their soul in their work. And this song is just so uniquely jinki. Not shinee's onew, but just jinki as a person. His own colour. It may not be gp friendly or even for kpop fans who for majority are teenagers. But it will always be special for those who do listen. What a mesmerizing song.

I don't have better words to explain this, but this song feels like a poem, like a afternoon rain and autumn leafs and warm breeze during summer and snowflakes on skin and first spring flowers and so much more. Simple and beautiful.

I listened to this first audio only and I cried...when I saw the video, I can't explain how it was able to condense the meaningful lyrics and jinki's personality in 3:32 mins. Beautiful. I won't get tired of saying that this is not just a song, it's art. Missing Jinkles, but I'm hoping he's doing better. Rest well, we'll be here cheering you on when you come back :)

I think this comeback is such a holistic culmination of everything jinki has done to become the “Onew” he is today. From Replay to Blue/VOICE to DICE to Life Goes On, Circle is a recollection of this 33 year old man’s journey that began when he was only 18. I felt so overwhelmed with emotion while listening through this album. I can’t help but think about how it’s so incredibly lucky that we get to experience this lifetime-this endless circle of movement, time and change-together with him.

Así es, gracias por escucharlo, Onew es el líder del grupo SHINee, son 5 miembros y cada uno es solista, tienen increíbles álbumes, y debutaron en 2008, son de la segunda generación. No es por alardear pero cada integrante tiene sus títulos, por ejemplo: Onew junto con otro tienen el de los mejores vocalistas de la industria, otro el de mejor bailarín, y así, cada uno es tan talentoso que les dieron el título al grupo más completo y talentoso de la industria, tremendas presentaciones, conciertos, voces, bailes, shows, todo es impresionante. 사실 온유의 첫 솔로 타이틀곡인 블루를 듣고 굉장히 의아했었음, 다양한 곡을 중에서 왜 하필 이 곡을 했을지.. 샤이니 솔로앨범 모두들 다른 의미면서 좋은 의미로 음악적 성숙 및 아이덴티티를 고루 보여주며 좋은 평가를 받았는데, 유독 온유의 행보가 굉장히 독특했음 흔히 말하는 대중성의 의미보다 음악적으로 다른이들이 잘 시도하지않는 음악을 해보고싶었고 좋아한다는 그 차트에 연연하지않고 다양한 경험을 하고 그것을 음악으로 풀어내는 모습을 보면 앞으로의 발자취가 더욱 더 궁금해지는 아티스트임에는 분명함, 응원할게요 온유 이진기씨

I'm a babywol, and I've been struggling a lot mentally, emotionally.. I've been moving on from the past, started living by myself under guidance to finally let go of an abusive parent. SHINee truly lit up the way for me when I was at my lowest, made me remember my love for kpop. Each member is so beautiful in their own way, and I adore every single one of them. Though, since I've been struggling, I've been listening a lot to their music as an entire group, each member individually, and yet when I feel at my absolute lowest I seem to be drawn towards Jonghyun and Jinkiʼs solo music. The two of them truly inspire me... And this song specifically just, hits very hard for me personally somehow. Jinki has a beautiful voice, a beautiful sound. I don't know what it is, but it truly brings me a bit of joy even when I feel this... Down. I don't know if I should say all of this under a comment I'm not even sure anyone will see, but it brings me peace knowing Jinki is back and is smiling again. He's an amazing singer, all of SHINee is. 5HINee forever ♥️‼️

there are only a handful of singers who sing with such emotion and passion… I have always loved his voice but this album has become my fave in the past weeks (I was pretty late and discovered it only recently 🥲)… also think only a handful of k-pop artists (in particular) would come up with such song/album and nail it like he did… I think it takes a lot of courage and trust in oneself to be this creative dreamy onew 🤧🩵
