for those of you that don't know, winwin studied in the central academy of drama (one of the 3 most famous drama academies in china. commonly known as 'the cradle of the top movie stars'), the beijing dance academy (leading place to study dance in china) and he was admitted to the communication university of china. winwin got the highest performance in the exam for beijing dance academy (aka the top place to study dance and he was the best out of them all yass winwin) and in 2015 he ranked 10th out of 5419 competitors for acting at the central academy of drama. he ranked 7th out of everyone that was admitted for acting at the communication university of china.

to help u guys understand how wonderful winwin is in his chinese dance, the somersaults he did in this 2:03 is the hardest one in chinese dance, almost 1 out of 10000 dancer can do this in such a smooth way. If a chinese dancer used this in any dancing audition in china u will get the first place. The name of this amazing movement is called 云里前桥 in chinese, basically translated as "the bridge in the cloud".

There are thousands of different types of it and it's basically like Karate or something except that's Japanese. Traditional dance is a collective term of all the different dances of ethnic groups in China, some of which incorporate moves from martial arts like flips and stuff

this is not martial art in a strict aspect, you can find that most Chinese dancers(Victoria of fx, chengxiao of wjsn) are good at flexibility. it's kind of combination of kungfu and beijing Opera. the flip winwin did called ""cloud bridge" which was even hard for professional Chinese dancers. (Even though I'm still into Kpop) Winwin is the one that introduced me to NCT and Kpop in general back in 2016 and he's still my ult and it never fails to break my heart to see how underrated and ignored he is by SM and the fandom... Winwin is incredibly talented with a lot of potential and has a big solo fanbase, but none of that gets recognised and I doubt SM even realises how big of a gem he really is if they utilised him and his skills correctly, even though it was them who literally flew to China multiple times and begged him to join their company... even his successful solo career didn't get promoted or even mentioned at all like the other members, poor Winwin :(

He definitely has something special planned for Winwin - I’ve never heard of SM sending scouts several times to sign a dancer even though the dancer kept rejecting them. Winwin is also apparently the only member who is in tertiary education - he’s the only one with college on his profile. I'm really hoping for NCT to have a comeback which will be Winwin's Era, where he will get to shine the most, get recognition, have lines(to showcase his voice either by singing or rapping), show off his traditional Chinese dance and dance skills (by maybe a solo dance or be in center to lead the group during their dances), and have more solo screen time or more screen time in general in their MV. +prxnces they'll debut in different units, at different times and in different places so really it'll just be like learning the names of a few more people every now and then. if u think about sm, a lot of ppl stan and know all of the idols in the company but if u count all members (past and present) of just suju, exo and snsd, that alone comes to 34 people and if u have an interest in those groups, it's really not hard to know them by name and differentiate between them all. so because these guys will be introduced in smaller groups at seperate times, it'll just be like when u start getting into a new group and learn their members. i'd rather just have ot10 too tbh but thinking about it like this makes it a little more bearable lol
