Why should we should treat transsexuality differently from any other mental illness? If a mentally ill person was hearing voices in his head, you wouldn't throw that back in his face any more than you would say "yeah hearing voices is normal." You'd play along to cause as little additional mental trauma to him or danger to yourself as possible, GTFO of the interaction with the crazy person, and leave his problem to him and the doctors he hopefully has. That's all the trans dude/chick is really saying, and Dave Reuben thought it was pretty sensible and so do I. What does it for me, is that you can tell Pakman wanted to let his face drop the moment Rubin said it, but his ego wouldn't allow him to manifest the fact that he'd gotten to him, so you can see him artificially maintain the smile, but now it's more like a rictus. He holds it as long as possible, until he thinks his face is no longer one of the primaries on the screen, then he goes for a drink to give plausibility to him returning to a normal affect. He goes back into it later on when Rubin checks him again and they go into their duet on screen; Pakman smiles to give the illusion that Rubin calling him out on his lower sub count initially got a smile, but the moment Rubin started breaking it down as to WHY Pakman was losing subs, he immediately starts paying attention seriously, even though he doesn't accept the premise he gives. For someone who's supposedly been able to interview and be interviewed by so many people, Pakman's got almost no ability to pick his battles, or lose gracefully. It's almost like he's never learned that you can't be a keyboard warrior in the real world, because there's no possibility of anonymity.

I'm pretty sure that after two years he's eligible. It's not really all it's cracked up to be and a supplement will cost handsomely (like $500 or more) if younger than 65. Rates for that reflect the idea that many on disability at younger ages will have a disproportionate amount of expensive drugs (versus age-old generic BP or cholesterol meds, etc). The key at that point is to get an Advantage plan that will result in the lowest annual out-of-pocket while retaining as many doctors and medications as you can.

theres a lot more than just those two. a person can have three chromosomes, xxx xxy. they can have only x chromosomes but those could have a male sry gene inside them so the person could have xx chromosomes and be male. So its more complex than just those two, it really comes down to whether they have an undamaged, active male sry gene. if they do then they are male. The exception to that being if they have androgen insensitive genetics, and that truly is the only ambiguous case. the person will look like a very feminine woman, but they will likely have testicles where ovaries would be. the testicles will be sterile. so this is the one case i'd say where it's hard to say what sex the person actually is. but what isn't hard to say is that i've literally not heard of a single person with this condition who claims to be "trans", they typically all try to just live their life as a woman.
