Хореография - замечательная, разводка танцев- замечательная. Костюмы у девушек - очень красивые. Во время учебы в СССР никогда эту песню не слышала, в Молдавии мы, американцы, были. Там же и научились танцевать ЖОК, МОЛДАВЕНЯСКУ. А вот эту песню нам услышать не пришлось. Могу только поздравить всех участников этой прекрасной песни- танца. Учения братство по Оружию 80 на Хейдэховском полигоне Выступал ансамбль песни и пляски Группы Советских войск в Германии , Мы смотрели и просто плакали как артисты исполняли эту композицию . Девчонки и ребята в полевых условиях без деревянных помостов в пыли в песке исполнили так ! Что им аплодировали солдаты на БИС . Я так думаю , что для них это была самая Лучшая похвала !

I don't speak a word of Russian, but I love these old songs! I could listen to them all day. "Калинка," "Смуглянка," "яблочко," "Синий платочек," "Катюша"--so beautiful. I wonder if young people still love these songs in Russia. In America, it's considered "uncool" to sing along to songs of the 40s. And if America and Russia ever go to war (God forbid!), I hope it isn't a dance-off. We wouldn't stand a chance!

Absolutely fabulous. I was in Russia in 2004 as they were only just escaping the very dark period of the 1990s. Things still were not the best. I got a glimpse of this side of Russia which I will always remember. The sad part then for me was there was a competition more or less going on. Will the false values of the West take over or will true Russian Culture survive. I can remember sitting in Sochi on a street bench. A flat top truck went past advertising a new night club. G string girls with skimpy tops in cages and a Jaz Band on the back went past. At the same time there were typical young Russian blonds in very tasteful lemon skirts and tops with ribbons etc. rollerblading around giving out samples of Lipton Tea and typical taller Russian boys with long lemon shorts and ribbons doing the same. Ribbons flying off them in the air. The pretty young girls of course approached men mainly and the boys the older ladies. It was so tasteful. In the last week I had been to a Festival of Russian Rock and other Bands doing it Russian style. All age groups there. Been to a Geogian Restaurant with a floor show of beautiful graceful girls in long white dresses and boys dancing very Cossack style. Amazing! It hit me when that relatively gaudy Nightclub add on the back of a truck went past. I can remember thinking. "Please don't lose what you have for our Western crap!" Whether the West likes it or not it was Putin who saved Russia from a terrible fate. His efforts were just starting to take effect. On top of the worst of the Corruption even though Russia and many Russians were still struggling but many were starting to gain an outlook for the future and really start to trust him and believe he could bring about change for the better.
