When all the galactic patrol appeared I really got some good visual imagery from your story telling (as I usually listen at work, while driving, or in the shower so my eyes are averted from the screen)

This is a solid entry into the What If collection. I like the twists and turns you gave it, interweaving it with the main story as is. It's unfortunate that Oolong and Yamcha (and Puar) aren't apart of the story, but that's the life of a Patrolman. You didn't touch on Chi Chi again, but mentioned that most of the first adventure was the same. Will she make a return appearance in Part 2? Or will another woman catch Kakarot's eye?? (coughBulmacough) Looking forward to the next part!!

But compared to the other choices outside of Bulma, she actually has a better chance than the others. I’m mainly asking about Chi Chi since she didn’t get a mention, but was referenced that the first season of OG DB went similarly to canon, meaning Goku met Chi Chi and Chi Chi gained a crush on Goku.

Sick bro! I enjoyed this a lot! I appreciate how you wrote him to be a different guy without his head bump and a different upbringing. He’s still Goku, but different. Hope to see more for this series though I’d like to see him get more powerful and different powers, that’d be cool to see! Perhaps ki shackles or other things like that. You’re creative, so don’t feel nervous to write up new planets for him to visit and learn on, perhaps even new villains in the time between now and the saiyan arc. I know you’ll make it interesting and fun whichever route you go! Also I think this iteration would accept the grand elder unlocking his potential. Like you said this Goku wants to get stronger to protect others, unlike og Goku who had a sense of pride in doing it on his own. I think this Goku’s saiyan pride would manifest itself as being based on his ability to protect others at all cost, not just pride of himself if that makes sense. Again loved it and I’m excited for the Star Wars series you mentioned!

Probably what could happen: Goku is always traveling so he's probably way more knowledgeful of fighting and not just power. Goku probably can't train all the time but can train with merus so I'd say he's around the normal goku from DBS.

This concept is honestly pretty interesting. Goku is getting a new style of training, and early access to Mirus potentially. Piccolo is getting early access to Namekian training rather than just being self taught. And the earthlings have seen how much more power is around in the galaxy and have new goals to aim for in terms of training.
