You guys have such good energy together, I love it. Dutch guy here (and I'm a little over 6.2 ft, sooo). Not sure if we can rival the reputation the Irish have for drinking, but The Netherlands is one of the biggest beer exporters in the world from what I understand, but the brand I always see foreigners drink is Heineken, while for my taste Grolsch is a much better Dutch beer. Those black pepper chips are one of my favorites too, I eat them all the time. And I like the fluffy pig candy a lot too (shame about the dig at 45 though, I like him a lot and he certainly isn't everything bad he gets accused of in the MSM, although I respect your stance considering your heritage of course, but pls look up the bit for yourself where he only called the gangbangers 'animals' and not all of you like it gets reported falsely all the time). Ok lol that was random. New sub, if you'll have me :)

The first thing you tried is the liquorice... it was munten drop/ coin liqourice.. we also have honey drop, bayleaf drop, minty drop , fruit combo drop..... In the world chocolate is number 1. In the Netherlands drop is is equal or higher to choco...

The stroopwaffel is best enjoyed fresh/warm.. we sometimes warm them on our cup of coffee/tea before eating them. This to make the caramel soft. The gingerbread cake we often eat with (full cream) butter...to make them less dry.

I really enjoyed watching this video as a Dutchie. You should eat the ‘sprinkles’ with some butter on a slice of bread :) We eat it for breakfast/lunch!

In regards to different flavours.... try our french fries with different flavours(sauces)....you will be amazed... from mayonaise to satay and many more in between....

If you enjoyed the Speculoos biscuits, and you have an Aldi store near to you (or maybe even a Trader Joe’s... apparently, they’re an offshoot of the other Aldi; two brothers own it, and split it into two companies. Yes, I am a mine of useless information 😂), they have their own brand of spiced biscuits which are near identical. Plus at Christmas, they have a huge range of German Lebkuchen, gingerbread and sweets; all the good stuff that, as a kid, we could only get when my Taid (grandad) went home to Germany, or family sent over for us. They were the BEST parcels!

We just got back from Trader Joe's!!!!! definitely next time im there im gonna look for them 😬 LOL no worries, I think there's never useless information, for example I did not know that and that was a little fun fact lol That is awesome!I don't think i've ever had German snacks or food and i'm excited to see if i find any there around Christmas time like you said!

I just found your channel, you guys are great! I'm dutch and the Peynenburg gingerbread kind of thingy is called "ontbijtkoek" which pretty much meand breakfast cookie. We usually eat a slice at breakfast or lunch as some sort of side dish, plus its also nice to have a slice with your Coffee or tea.
