@@snailsandfairydust have made myself a pair, one for my sister and one for my friend and people keep complementing them 😍. Actually I have gotten some offers to buy a pair too, for which I am so grateful bc I have been making jewelry for years and it's been a persistant dream to create a small business for myself. Beading is such an accessible craft, unlike silver that requires tools and fire that I am not super comfortable using in my living room 😅. I have been crediting you for your amazing tutorials and patterns ❤️.

Just found your channel and I think it's fabulous. Your videos are clear, consice, and so easy to follow! Have you tried using Tulip brand Japanese needles? I do huge beaded tapestries and they are now the only needles I use. I also use Fireline as the well as Miyuki & Presciosa beads too. I totally agree about using quality beads for items such as these. I have used other beads for crochet & other items where size wasn't an issue but the inconsistency in generic brands is pretty scary. Hope to bonge watch all of your vidros & buy your book. Thank you for your time & effort making all of these videos. 💕😊🪡🧵🟣

Thank you so much for the kind words about my videos. I have heard the Tulip needles are great. I will have to give them a try. I mostly use John James needles. “Huge Beaded Tapestries” sounds AMAZING! I recently bought cheaper beads for my 7 year old to learn with and the inconsistency in bead size is just shocking. Happy Beading! I hope your current tapestry turns out great!

Can this be applied to hoop earrings for a beaded hoop earring? I am new to heading and I love it more than oil painting. It calms my anxious brain.
@snailsandfairydust8 ай бұрын
You can weave a peyote stitch tube around a hoop but herringbone stitch would be much better because it is flexible. Here’s a link to a video I have about that technique around a hoop earring. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZqUgWmwZ5iWnrcsi=QnlY_5caG7dWDDmO

Hello Darcy, Help! I can't seem to get the hang of the peyote stitch to make the earrings...... It took forever to thread the needle..... I broke 6 needle threaders...... I can't get the stopper bead to stay on the thread..... I can't secure the thread & 12 beads around my finger..... I try to pick up a bead & skip the next, but the bead I pick up, comes off the thread..... Ugh! I am so not relaxed..... You make it look so simple & easy..... I really wish I could get the hang of this..... I really like the earrings! Thank you for your time & I appreciate you putting out the video as well!
@snailsandfairydust9 ай бұрын
It’s important to use the right materials. A needle threaded won’t work with Fireline but if you have a size 12 beading needle and flatten your Fireline, you shouldn’t need it. It sounds like the thread it probably your problem because Fireline also doesn’t slip off of the needle very easily.

Sound like you just need to keep trying or that maybe your beads are not good quality. The beads have to be very uniform in size for everything to line up properly.
