SNAKE CLIMBS FENCE AND UNION PACIFIC CLINTON SUB ACTION WITH TONS OF "DRONE TIME"!

06/02/2024 Montour, Ia. This snake must have been used to the recent high water and preferred the fence! After some time I assisted him down and over to a rock pile. In between snake time I had plenty of train traffic with multiple manifest, priority, loaded coal, and crossover move trains. 10 total trains on this visit with one snake!

The intermodal with empty well cars on the rear was the first train I'd call normal for this line today. I enjoyed all of the shorter trains, too, but I'm just surprised that they were so short. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤

You had your hands full on 2 June 2024 with railfanning and helping that Bull snake finding its way off the sense, Red! The number of Union Pacific trans that you saw that day was impressive. The double stack/auto rack/double stack train that comes into view at 20L42 is the first train with that type of consist of cars that we have seen in Montour, Iowa. We have seen a combination double stack/auto rack in previous videos.

Snake on the fence was a bonus today, lol. The first priority train had 6 engines and was barely moving. Poor engineers were getting ripped off on a would-be fast train. Did you ever find out what the blinking red light meant. Great video over all

Thanks David S! Yes that priority crew did get ripped off. Sounds like blinking red means extra slow speed. Trains were running close to each other that day. I'm told that was a Fox snake.

Wow i might be stupid but why did i think you dont get snakes in Iowa? 😮 i dont mind them if they keep their distance! Is west bound from you Nebraska Red? Glad the water receded now, no more storms i hope. Looks like some repairs needed to the ties there red on the bridge. You will notice these things with your drone. Love the autorack with 2 dpu's on the end. Ive not seen flashing red signal before. You get some exciting trains in Montour the best intermodels i lost count of the locos 5 or 6 awesome & 2 dpu's! Very busy Sunday, good game the snake playing! West bound UP Intermodel was flying another dpu too. All going on Red loved this video. Evening Red, It's always a good day when I see that you've posted another video. Time to relax, spark my hash oil joint and watch trains. Pretty cool snake on your fence. What kind of snake is that? I don't think that first eastbound UP had a loud enough horn. Someone should tell them that. I've said it once and I will say it again...your drone footage is second to none. "It's drone time" alright! Love the cameos! That was a short eastbound. One day I'm going to have a little slice of property like yours beside a set of train tracks. I was thinking the same thing about that bridge, it certainly did not look right. What would the reason be to have one engine in the front and two DPUs at the rear on that author racks? That was some crazy graffiti on that auto rack car at the time frame 8:20? It looked like 3 warning placards. I don't think I've ever seen a blinking red. What does that mean? A good amount of power on that priority train. That was weird to see a UP with flashing ditch lights. All in all another great video Red. Cheers from Southern Ontario 🇨🇦

At 1:58 it looks like the track is "pumping" on Track 1 - could be where old joints used to be located. Back in olden days my Iowa girl friend didn't like certain snakes much. (Just saying).
