Don’t forget that Snake-Eyes can search and run Feather Storm now as well if board breakers ever become a legitimate threat to them or popular enough to warrant going for greedier combos.

Bystials are a necessity for next format. Stops fiendsmish shenanigans, hurts puppet lock, hurts gimmick puppets, hurts most rogue decks and lack of IP access hurts the snake-eye endboard. Droll is also a good maindeck option.

I don't get why everyone is so upset about this format when it has barely even started. Like c'mon, nobody has "solved" the format yet, and we don't know how things will shake out. Not only have we had far worse formats, nothing comes of bitching and moaning about how "ygo sucks rn" when we've said the exact same thing for 25+ years. I get being upset that the Fiendsmith isn't accessible and that Snake-Eye hasn't been hit meaningfully yet, but don't assume the format is ass when there is room for us to figure shit out. It could very well turn out to be more interesting than the current format for all we know. Most people thought Snake-Eye Diabellstar was redundant at best before people started really playing with it once it released. Turns out the card is crazy! People also thought that Pure Snake-Eye would die once Baronne and Savage got banned. Turns out it very quickly surpassed Fire King Snake-Eye! I don't think this format looks even close to ideal, but to assume that things have gotten "worse" is short-sighted.

@@MaliEndz We don't know if it will make the format worse to play or not. Fiendsmith doesn't exist entirely for Snake-Eye, the engine is insanely generic. Snake-Eye may not be able to maintain Tier 0 status, especially in the face of Yubel Fiendsmith. A new format means new problems. Snake-Eye may be getting stronger, but that does not mean that is the only thing that matters.

@@MaliEndz Fiendsmith isn't just for Snake-Eye, and neither are a lot of the other insane cards in INFO. Yubel Fiendsmith is an insane deck too, and somehow manages to make an even stronger endboard than Snake-Eye. Does that mean that Snake-Eye will remain Tier 0? Will Purulia become really difficult for Snake-Eye to play against with the right non-engine combination? I don't know. Nobody does. The point I'm trying to make is that it is just a little too early to assume that this format will be better or worse than our current one. The one thing we know for sure is that it will play different. You can make predictions, but assuming that we're doomed doesn't produce any value for anybody.
