It’s already 1 year old! Saw Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins opening day, figured I get it over with since the trailer looked okay I thought it was above average Henry Golding is really good in the lead Terrific fight choreography, fun action and I like the rivalry between Snake and Storm Shadow but I felt a lot of the stuff that made G.I. Joe was missing Not enough scenes with Red Scarlett or Baroness, long gaps between the drama and action, and they could've shortened it to and hour and a half The shaky cam will disorient many and I had a hard time buying some of the more fantastical elements like magic and giant reptiles I thought the 2009 movie was way more fun and kinetic and more colorful Retaliation felt more authentic but felt so hollow and empty This is competent though

In this movie Everyone was really good except the Scarlett The actress is being herself, not the role Or maybe the script didn't let her play the Role that well. But My God, Actress who plays The Baroness nails it with her line. I watched the movie to see how she'll do as Batoness, and she's indeed as what I expected to be. Overall a good once-a-watch movie.

I think this actor ( henry golding) was not the right one to play a ninja with a slim build, i think that the japanese actor ( takeru sato "ruroni kenshin" or the corean actor Rain "ninja assasin") they would have become more attached to the character.

Thank you! They really would be a great fit for playing snake eyes. Henry Golding is a good actor but not the right one for this character. How they portrayed Snake Eyes in the movie was disappointing. He’s not manipulated easily nor like a child, instead he’s rather serious, dedicated, intelligent, and trains like hell. Also the characters that you suggested are a great alignment to play as snake eyes they have such a strong aurora that paints them as an individual you don’t want to mess with and heart of an assassin. I had really high hopes for this movie. This movie had a lot of talent...I mean, you had Iko Uwais for crying out loud. But the plot just wasn't that great, and your choice to dumb this down to a PG-13 really hurt both the cohesiveness and the action scenes themselves, which should have been the core of this movie. Instead, the editing of the action sequences were just terrible and made parts outright confusing. If you watch a movie like The Raid, the brilliance of it comes from these action scenes, and these action scenes rely on the martial artists more so than using 300,000 different camera angles, special effects, and closeups. You had a story to tell but you really could not tell the full story as an outcome of self-imposed constraints--movies like Deadpool and Logan realized this and did not limit themselves to such a constraint, enabling them to tell their full story. This could have been so much more than what it is.

The clan's most precious fire crystal for generations had zero security visibility. Then the main antagonist stole and attack the clan with this crystal which is pretty much worst than grenade launcher and with a group of backup with only samurai (wtf all those years of planning which could have been easy if all of them used the automatic rifles) Then the soon to be leader was stripped of power in just 2 minutes because he tried to kill the main antagonist just to make him become storm shadow. In short the origin of storm shadow was rushed and the plot was stupid.
