Snake Eyes Resolves 2 Maxx Cs & Droll.. Lost to Tistina?? | Guided Replay & Deck List Master Duel

I was looking to learn about Tistina and I found ‪@games8009‬ ZenmaiShark's video of absolutely destroying a typical Superheavy Samurai end board with Tistina going second. I copied their list card for card and was able to defeat Snake Eyes that resolved 2 Maxx Cs and a Droll. This deck is insane!!

If you had to compare Tistina playstyle to another deck youve played, which would it be? Im very interested in the deck for the art but im hesitant to commit to the deck.

So far I’ve only seen it do well going second. So maybe like an OTK deck like 8 Axis? I think it’s also due to how this deck was built that it leans towards going second. I just don’t think that the tistina cards themselves do much on our opponents turn

ghostrick is similar to tistina. I want use both.

Hmm in what way? Aside from Purrely I haven’t personally used Ghostrick cards. From what I’ve experienced with Tistina, limited as it may be, seems like Subterrors would be much more similar to GT. Many of the Tistina effects clear the board or attack directly, double attack and attack multiple times making you want to go second. But I could be wrong

@@meepSquaredYT im currently running tistina at locals every week irl and seeing great success. the locals is top meta level competative (deckwise) to make sure i get actual good gameplay feedback from what i struggle against and what works well. Before the changes il mention below my biggest struggle was against any deck that could banish a monster or bounce a card. branded matchup was easily resolved with ash which is searchable off of small world, and since tistina isnt known, most branded players dont banish god. other match up i hated was floo. entirely playable with one hand, unplayable with the other. third matchup i struggled with was game 1 versus punk gold pride due to the many interaction points (trap, steal, negate, pop, easy access to handtraps due to card advantage. But these decks dont really see alot of play anymore at my locals besides floo. Currently running go first tistina by using a goblin biker engine, and a terrortop engine. Any game where the opponent has space for tons of handtraps or anytime i win game 1, i side out the goblins and terrotop and side in 4 kaijus, 2 sphere mode, 2 lightningstorm/ttt, trap eater, ash/droll depending on neccesity. unless im facing labyrynth, but that doesnt happen often lately. il admit tistina itself isnt good going first, so against stuff like snake eye id still rather go second with a normal build, but for testing sake im going first rn. but against decks not maining 12+ handtraps, its a nice way too bait wrong cards being sided in going into game 2. the only thing this version rly dies to is nibiru. Droll does cut lines shorter, but isnt an issue. before the goblin changes i also saw a ton of success running 3 cyber dragon to instantly threaten ip/sp/amblowhale without needing to commit. currently swapping it out for 3 fenrir as my locals is full of snake eye varients.

As someone who knows nothing of the TCG and its current state, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your insights :) I also generally don't really look up cards that are not in Master Duel or hinted at their release in the near future, but I'll keep Goblin Rider Tistina on the back of my mind. Yeah, while looking at other people's builds I did see them running Cydras as well. If I understood that this was a deck that wanted to go second, I might have added that over Red Layer / Kaiser Vorse Raider or a mix of the monster ratios. With Cydra I'd probably add some Cydra Extra Deck monsters as well to contact fuse into. The duel in this video was actually my second time playing the deck so I know there were several/ a ton of things I could have done more efficently. The first time I tried going first with this same deck build and I just ended up with a bunch of monsters that didn't really do anything.

That might be difficult since generally Labrynth wants to go first and Tistina wants to go second
