Great video on the Snake River! So you're saying that this section you have described would not be good in July and August? We're trying to get out of the heat of Arizona I'm looking for a great place to fish that doesn't have grizzly bears! Thank you

I live about 40 minutes from the Snake in Boise. Within my home there are 15 trout rivers, the farthest is 2 hrs. Once you leave the foothills North you hit pine trees and it’s that way to the North Pole. I’d say it’s a tad cooler than where you are now.

@@northwestschoolofflyfishin1543 First of all, thank you for replying! We just got back from Wyoming fishing the North Platte, unusually hot and the fishing was bad. Moss everywhere, so we're looking for a new place. I know Boise got hot when I lived there one year in 1996. I love hiking in the Sawtooth's. Anyway, so you think that the Snake is good where you are talking about in your video like Celebration Park, CJ, Walter's Ferry, Marsing, etc in July and August? Thanks

@@scottrobbins1260 We are looking at the high 80s this time next week. You can fish the Snake but for the same driving time I will be North of Boise on a trout stream

@@northwestschoolofflyfishin1543 That's good to know, trout has always been my least favorite fish to catch, that's why my wife and I are researching the high mountain desert sections of the Snake for smallmouth. Thanks for the great info!
