The college football playoff rankings must return to a computerized selection process based on widely accepted and agreed upon criteria (wins, losses, strength of schedule). This approach will remove all bias that can only take place with the playoff committee involved.

I’m not sure why our own fans doubt us, I haven’t seen anything from Georgia over the last few weeks except Carson Beck throwing interceptions every game and we have a top tier defense that is going to be hungry for this win, even if Nico does not play our defense can keep us in this game long enough to let the offense hopefully get something going!

Exact reason why the SEC should NOT go to a 9 SEC game schedule. Idk why people (Cainer) think we should do that. It’s really pretty dumb. It’ll just make everyone’s record that much worse while the other conferences already have a weaker schedule than the SEC does with 8 games…. Going to 9 will screw over SEC teams in the end.

I struggle to see a single team that would be undefeated even if they had Missouri or Ole Miss schedule this year. Not Oregon or Indiana would be undefeated. Both likely have 2 plus losses. Indiana would be Oklahoma 5-5 in SEC

My thing is....how in the hell would Bama be ranked ahead of us in national polls but even if we lose to GA we will still be ahead of Bama in the SEC BECAUSE OF THE WIN ON THE FIELD...as far as I'm concerned the conference rankings would TRUMP the National rankings..it should be consistent with the Conference rankings!! Indiana and BYU are outperforming expectations and are being ushered to the top due to "overcorrection." The committee can't say this because it alludes to brand bias. They would have to admit favoritism to OSU, Bama, Georgia, and others. We all know it exists, but you know these folks pander to everyone so people believe in equal opportunities. Basically, I don't think this had anything to do with Tennessee. I do, however, think articles and theories like this being made public have EVERYTHING to do with why other fanbases hate Tennessee and think we're a joke. Even in a year like this, when we're good, they treat us like a laughing stock.

Our win over Mississippi St was our “most impressive” victory this season. The thing is; it wasn’t impressive at all. Just like the rest of our games this year, we left at least 10-20 points on the field due to failure to execute. We have not played up to our ranking all year long. We also lost to what is now a 5-4 Arkansas team. Although record ultimately plays the larger role in these decisions; the committee MUST consider the strengths/weaknesses of these teams, and how well they actually play. If you don’t want to look at that, fine. Go back to record: We have one loss to Arkansas. BYU and Indiana have no losses thus far. It isn’t all that complicated to me. So far, I think they’ve got it right, but until our offense and defense shows up on the same day; we do not deserve the amount of credibility you all are expecting from the committee at this point in the season.

I suspect the Nico injury has a lot to do with it. Also, looking on one end, you have Tenn struggling vs the worst sec team while you have Indiana beating a premier school, bad as they are this year they were the defending national champs. The reality is, if yall take care of business vs a pretty bad Georgia team, it’ll sort itself out. Bama will still find itself moving up, with or without UTenn.

Boogie...expecting this team to go into Athens and win with one arm tied behind their back, a broke finger on the hand that's not tied, and a badly sprained ankle on one leg and a sore knee on the other is absolutely freaking rudiculous. This was going to be unlikely win at full strength..and now with Nico, Pili and Donte out, and Sampson ground down to the nub...this feels nigh unto impossible. I refuse to burden this team with those kind of expectations...pulling this off with these issues will be a miracle. I will not be disappointed in this team...they have fought and scrapped to overcome their deficiencies and they deserve love and respect for that. They have had to do it the hard way...but they have done it. I love this team win or lose....period.

I'm confused by the cfp rankings simply based off of their bracket description doesn't match their rankings. Tennessee is number 1 in the SEC right now. Based off that metric alone Tennessee should be in the SEC champion slot on the bracket. Not Texas. They are currently 3rd in the SEC

But without the strength of schedule yall can’t afford to lose this week. But Heupel has to stop playing games with Nico’s availability. That could be a reason for them to not move in the standings fearing he wouldn’t be playing this week. He just needs to commit one way or the other. Kirby will game plan for him regardless if he’s sure or not who’s playing and just adjust in game for someone else.
