I took my time to realize that beauty in art is not all about realism, yeah it is dope and takes a lot of effort and talent. Today, once again I made a very realistic portrait, took hours for only a frikking face and at the end of the day, what made me smile was the small doodle I made in 2 minutes right next to it

I agree. There is people that says his paintings are ridiculous and a 5 year old can as well draw don’t understand that the ‘good’ art is not only hyper realistic pieces. If you look at his younger paintings you can see he easily draws realistic paintings. But he decided to make extraordinary and abstract paintings. The way he views art is eye opening. But those uncultured people don’t understand this.

Somewhat I can relate. I make a portrait of a character. But I really enjoyed my doodle art than my portrait.

Yeah, actually I grew up with everyone telling me that I should learn realism to be a "true artist". After I started learning, I'd only paint portraits and still lifes, and I feel like I lost most of my creativity for replicating real life so many times. That made me feel really unmotivated, and it took me a while to see I wasn't really pleased with what I was doing... art isn't necessarily about realism and it's not necessarily beautiful, sometimes it can be done just to please the artist.

@@rbasket8 I study design and basically everything related to art for 20 years now, I can say that those who really understand art, no matter what type, are the artists themselves. We recognize when someone is genuinely delivering a message or if they are truly virtuous in what they do. The target audience of messi are people who play football and want to see him play, while people who like Picasso all they have is a sponsorship of an academic elite that has power and influence, whatever shit they do, good or bad, they they will be able to earn money on the sucker who falls into their conversation, after all, most of those who defend these artists and these works do not even consume their content.

Picasso always wanted to be superior to others, not only artisticly but in his relations in general (he was a serial abuser), so he knew that painting Goya/Velazques-tipe paintings wasn't going to take him anywere. That's when he painted "Las Señoritas de Avignon", the first cubist painting, and created the whole modern movement of cubism. He is a fundamental figure in the modernization of art (breaking the ancient rules of realism, perspective, light, etc).
@aryaprincess2479 Жыл бұрын
@@Sofia-wh9jr In short he wouldn't be regarded anything good if he had to compete with good artists, so he made a new type of art and it paid off and persuaded everything that whatever he does is a masterpiece because he did it. It is not his art that is good, it is the name he built. He is the kardashian of the painters.
