Eat the hell outta these things on Kent Island (Maryland). One thing I learned was if you soak the fillets in ice water over night with a little salt, it pulls any blood left over out of the fillet, and you end up with pure white awesome fillets. Great video and love seeing kids get out and enjoy nature and family time. Keep up the great work

I didn't know those things were that far north! Aren't they amazon river fish? I know people let them loose from aquariums but didn't know they could take the cold. I had one as a pet when i was a kid. Ate everything in the tank

They will hammer top water in spring. They slow down on top water in the summer when guarding fry balls. They will pick up fluke and chatterbaits but usually just swim it off and drop them.

IMO. It’s a similar fish kind of like rockfish. Can get nice solid pieces of fish. It’s very mild. Great all around fish.

Great video. Kambotrout told me about your channel. It's awesome to get the kids out of the house. I drive over that bridge all the time, but drive quite a ways to catch them on the east. I'll have to explore that area more. There are a couple of hard to get to spots around there that have to be loaded with them.

Dan Phan hey there. This was back in spring. They typically move through there and to other places. But spring time snakehead is good as all the fish start eating up for the winter.

Hey Terrance. Can’t give exact spot. But anywhere in that patuxent river is good. Almost any tributary off of it. They are expanding their range each year. Good luck hope ya get one. I am still waiting to catch my first one🤷🏻‍♂️
