A good and entertaining creature feature of Syfy channel. Taking advantage of the problem and fears of some people when snakeheads became invasive and spreading despite efforts. I would be grabbing and loading my guns to kill these amphibious snakeheads.

Snakehead Terror was creepy, but super inaccurate. Real snakeheads aren't that aggressive, and while they can grow large, they aren't capable of growing to super massive sizes on par with large sharks or whales. Many species of snakeheads, all belonging to the genus Channa, exist throughout Africa and Asia, but the ones that have become common in the USA are the bullseye snakehead, usually found in warmer climates, and the northern snakehead, which can survive as far north as the southern parts of Russia. They will eat a lot of small animals and fish, but their diet is similar to a northern pike; If they can't swallow it, they won't eat it. There have also been a few instances of the largest species, the giant snakehead, being found in the USA, but they've never become established. Good thing, too; giant snakeheads are capable of growing to 5 feet in length and can weigh 44 pounds, which is about as big as the average muskellunge. Snakeheads also are not very fast or agile on land, and basically have to squirm since they have weak fins, so they're really no threat to anyone on land like in this movie. All snakeheads also are good eating, and the best way to get rid of them is to catch them and cook them up on the grill or in a pan; they have fairly firm meat with a nice, mild flavor if anyone wants to try cooking one. They are also very protective of their young, charging and biting at anything that threatens their babies. In fact, one of my grandma's coworkers from her job back in the 50s was apparently mauled on the legs by a mated pair of giant snakeheads in his home country of Laos while escaping from guerrilla soldiers by crossing a river, and he mistranslated his words for them as "piranhas". Piranhas however, aren't native to the area and have never been found in Laos, leaving only the giant snakehead as the culprit as the only freshwater fish strong enough to attack a human in that area.
