Heard and then saw one of these in the Appalachian mountains, sunning themselves, and it was huge. The diameter was about the size of a beer can.

If it has a distinct sound to its rattle, then why not feature its rattle, along with an Eastern Diamondback so viewers (hearers?) can validate the claim. It's like claiming they have distinct farts. It's sus to us! (And no faking!)

Well I wasn't saying distinctive as in they have a different type of rattle. Rather than highlighting the fact that they have a rattle compared to other pit vipers that don't.
