I think she just wanted a happy ending. She never wanted anything that took place, she strikes me as a person who tried to be dutiful and proper, those people often inspire us to be better ourselves. For all the pain she went through and living in the age of heros, not one ever came to help. She didn’t deserve to die, she deserved to be saved. Maybe it’s just me, but living in an age of ostentatious flash, we should watch the people that avoid that. For that reason I like to think that if she lived, she had a hometown, and there’s a scrappy farm boy who never quite forgot about how she made him feel when she’d cross his path. I like to believe he’s coming, and somehow some way, he’s going to be the hero she deserved all along. Be good to one another.

according to the lore Medusa didn`t stare evil she was an victim. and cursed by the false goddess she served. also the second the enemies saw her they would be turned to stone. that goes for animals as well.
