Nope, otherwise on cavern brawl the bushes around the boxes would be revealed. What probably happened is a lily using a gadget because whenever she does all of the bushes, and probably invis brawlers too, flash showing hidden brawlers

Not sure if it’s a bug but for a while, invisibility can be detected by all non player characters by a slightly farther range. It’s more then just deployables, such as gems, the brawl ball, boxes, power cubes and ruffs super as well.
