I just got the Eagle Grip/Malco locking pliers today. When put next to the Irwin Vise Grips the differences between them is very noticeable. The Malcos are a much nicer tool. $80 is pretty pricey for what you get, but it’s going to be a quality tool that should last a long long time.

The Snap On versions aren’t too ridiculously expensive and you basically get to support two great American companies by buying them, Malco and Snap On. Ironically, the Snap On PWZ’s are about the same price as the Bahco’s. In fact, the Bahco’s are more expensive locally. They might be $10 cheaper on Amazon, but I’ll take the comfort grip and my choice of color plus tool truck service for that extra $10.
