I was going to say that the third tool is made for left handed people. You right handed weirdos get all the love.

I know, it’s so strange that the 90% of us right handers are the weird ones

Hello again, Doc I think, I would like your lefty tool, since I am almost ambidextrous. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Again thank you 👌

I think the Snap On marketing would be funny since Icon always compares prices to SO. $300 compared to Icon $25!

KTC from Japan makes a scraper just like the old SnapOn. Great for scraping gaskets and anything else!

That Icon 90 degeeish pick is actually for pulling cotter pins. PB Swiss makes a really nice stubby scraper. The stubby hose pick was originally made by S & G Tool Aid as the lil hooker. Copied by many since then.

I’m not a fan of soft touch material anyways so I accidentally came away from this video wanting the PB Swiss. Soft touch turns to goo in not a lot of time. Hard handle screwdrivers from the 70’s are doing just fine.

I have a hard handle in the stubby hose handle in Mac, owned for at least 20’years been good when needed it, also great content!! Enjoy the episodes a lot

Completely unrelated, I've got that sane Snap On light and i absolutely love it.

I also LOVE the Lisle or MAC hose spoons... those things are unbeliebly handy for any hose known to man, trim, or anything you dont want to stab a hole in. My icon scrapers cut like shit, but its handy after cleaned up. I like the set overall, dissapointed in the finishing, glad they lowered the price 😂

I like the USA made Lang gasket scraper sets. Great for a variety of non auto uses. They have striking caps which to me is essential. The hooked scraper that you draw towards you is especially useful.

I don't know that they make it anymore(it was on a deep discount at Lowes a while back), but Craftsman had a kit with two picks, two hose clamps pliers(plastic) and a hose cutter for less than $20. It had a very similar stubby pick.

try the williams scraper. it has worked well for me.

Do you have any videos that feature (or at least you give details about) the little green pick that you like so well?

Hands down best scrapers on the market right now are the carbide scraper set by Mueller Kueps (made in Germany).

I have an old red handle Mac radiator hose pick like that and never use it ... prefer the Snap-on flat hose pick way better. Less likely to puncher the hose
@lastbesttool8 күн бұрын
I use these hose picks 10 to 1 for something other than hoses.

Similar to your favorite snap on scraper: GEARWRENCH 84084 1” x 3-3/4” Scraper. Or there's a four piece set for 30 bucks.

I’ve got a red handle MAC hose pick like that. Nice set for 25 bucks though.

Snappy makes one close to it but not exact. They do make a 90 degree one that is close.

Thay icon pick is very similar to the Mac SW70B pick Edit: it's not a pick it's a cotter pin puller
@davidsizemore96408 күн бұрын
its actually backwards because its use is for pulling cotter pins.

HF claims they copied the Snap-on 3-pc SGRHTLB3BR set, but the Icon 4-pc set differs. I like the Icon set.

Hobo Freight never has anything on the sales page in stock so unless you’re getting paid for advertising I wouldn’t do it.

You cant be sure the snapon one is stronger. Harder? Probably, but hardness and strength dont always go hand in hand.

If they can sell the st for $25 something has got to give, there is no magic formula to offer expensive tools for next to nothing.

Moving, dropping, shifting, adjusting....can't stay still. Not able to let the viewer get a decent view of the product. Wonder what is going on here? Why are we not able to see any of these items STILL for more than a second? Last Best Fidgeter could be the title.
