Removing the wiring harness seems like it would be I would let someone else do. Diagnosing that wire problem must have been a bear. Congratulations on fixing this mess. Way beyond my abilities. Thanks for the video.

Gms were always known for wire issues. I was surprised it wasn't in steering column. At least there wasn't any wire nuts. I lost count of wire nuts I've removed from tractors forklifts and trailers along with electric fence and house wire.

Better off going to Lowe's or Harbor Freight. Scrap On will charge you 4 to 5 times more and the piece of shit light they sell you will break in roughly 6 months.

Fabulous video about the tools. But more importantly about knowing the limits of a shop and technician. The shop I work at does not accept wiring harness work. We will replace ECMs or components powered by a vehicles electrical system. Work related to a wiring harness is sent on to an automotive electrical shop nearby

Back in the early 90's I worked with a guy in a different line that only had a roll of black wire to wire up a panel, the boss noticed he marked one of the wires "This Is Red", I never saw him again.

I'm sure the customer will be happy to get these issues taken care of. When a video starts out with This sent over from another shop. No matter what trade you are in there will be day's of cleaning up somebody else's mess some easier then others.

@@KoonTrucking electrical has always been my weakness. I am colorblind and I guess I let it intimidate me. I understand it pretty good. I can read schematics. But if I can dodge electrical problems, I do with moves that would make those guys in the Matrix jealous.

I have not taken my Trailblazer to any shop for last 18 yrs, so I know nobody has fucked up my wiring.... let alone changing the oil....🤓 most shops methafecate by default. In one instance, the dealer tech forgot to put the oil cap on my wife’s expensive German car.... it’s fucked up in the shops

Matco sells a kit that has different ones in it. We just did a video on the truck and showed one of the kits a few weeks ago

Looks exactly like the kit we had to use when Harley changed up their system then three years later changed again and wrenches had to buy a new set of tools......It got worse after I left being a mechanic .

Y'all need to get some pin kits so you don't have to track down salvaged wiring harnesses. Amazon has several different kits including, Delphi. I use the weather pack kits on my F350 when the harness to the glow plugs burn out. I wish I knew a good fix for that. I don't know if going to the single plug for the valve cover gasket harness would work better or not, it's got its own issues from the comments on the message boards.

Yeah I definitely understand that. Meth heads will leave a wiring harness looking like a pack of rats were tryin to get to cheese inside it. And then swear up and down they didn't do it that it was like that when they got the vehicle. Lol
