I find it interesting that SK makes new tools with a vintage look and feel to them. But either way great tools for a fraction of Snap On prices.

Cool video, Tim. Both beautiful ratchets. I'm an SK fanboy. Thanks for sharing. :)

Isn't that SK the slim version, which is why the knurling is so short

The issue with the selector moving is not a tolerance or tightness issue, it's just a difference between floating pawl and non floating pawl mechsnism. For the SK just like with WRIGHT tool when the ratchet is forged everything is centered, but it gets finish ground by hand and won't always come out perfectly round. Snapon may make a good tool and have a good warranty but a lot of the cost comes from the fit and finish. If you care it's worth it, if not you can get an equally reliable tool for less.

Snap-on tools are beautiful but I'd rather have money and nice tools than be broke and have beautiful tools.

Nothing wrong with snap on. Buying snap pn here and there for either satisfaction or for your most critical tools is okay. Splurging on yourself is okay. Going broke/in debt because someone is blind and gets ripped off by snap on is not okay.

I don't think the snap on is better if you are actually going for compact sk wins...that snap on is the size of alot of regular 3/8 rats
