Finally someone else who uses 3/8th as their go to drive size. You wanna have a borrow of the 3/8 milwaukee m12 stubby impact, it's like a screw driver in Hulk mode, really good. More tools please!
@w01f7773 жыл бұрын
Milwaukee is the way. Snap-on make the best hand tools, no doubt. But their power tools are shit for the money. My dad, who’s been a mechanic for 30 years and was a big snap-on snob has just made the switch. Twice the power, half the size and half the cost. 5 year warranty if you register the tool too
@gregblau80823 жыл бұрын
I’ve gotten to like using 1/4 when I can but you could pretty much do any job with 3/8 and that stubby Milwaukee has to be one of my favorite tools

Great video Matt,honest & expressing how we in the mobile field have tools, if it’s used a lot, buy the best you can, if not, cheap dose the job, & yes, need cheap stuff to carve up. Got to say, Parkside hand tools in Lidl are tough, Allen keys, hand files in a pouch are really good. Great banter on your short videos😂👊😎💪👍

People may slate them but I have a set of draper expert impact sockets and the sizes are stamped really good sockets the half inch square doesn’t get worn by the Milwaukee gun either

That's like a tour of my toolkit with one exception - I have the pretty much identical cordless yokes too - but you don't look to have a 3/8" cordless ratchet - I use that for EVERYTHING ever since I first got it a few months ago - bloomin brilliant tools. If it broke, I'd buy another in the morning. It makes 1001 jobs so much easier.

Halfords Advanced impact sockets are my go to impacts tbh these days, they are very strong and haven't broken any on my 1/2 Milwaukee impact gun yet. Plus the lifetime warranty is nice to have. The Halfords full shank hammer threw screwdriver set is meant to be quite good too. I think i prefer the old Halfords spanners compared to their newer ones, there is just so much slop in the newer ones, it's horrible they drives me crazy if you don't have much space to work in.
@allthingsmotorized18852 жыл бұрын
halfords advanced is really good tbh, teng tools is one i quite like. better than halfords by a mile but not snap on price either. my dad has had a full teng toolbox set for 20 years as a mechanic now

Nice to see the raw Matt, my stuff was similar but much smaller probably the most used was a snap-on set of carburettor spanners fantastic thin things, and the sets of screwdrivers for all the tiny tiny stuff I was doing, not got much left now after 40 years, you need to get a set of snap-on lineman's pliers if you haven't got them, got jaws so sharp and hard it's like getting a pound out of a yorkshiremans grip, love the videos, I'm just waiting until westen Champlin is wearing a Fitter Matt teeshirt, equally mad compelling viewing

My trident impact sockets are stamped and are one of the thickest sockets I've used. I've got the same mac spanners and they are very good. You need to jump on milwaukee for power tools. You could have brought atleast two milwaukee tool bodies for that snap on.

Those erbauer bits are just miserable. They’re a screwfix brand, which in most cases is pretty awful. Working for screwfix gives you a brilliant insight into the quality of tools. My advice after my time there would be, never buy dewalt power tools unless you’re mentally deficient or don’t do more than two jobs a year.
