Thank you. That was informative and instructional, at least for me. I learned a lot about the spey cast. I'll continue to watch you. You're clear and understandable. Thank you.

Brilliant in my opinion. As someone very new to this, practiced this for hours in the rain using this as my only Snap T guide. Simplicity in something technical. Thank you

Seems like he is doing his best to be precise and that can sound a bit off putting to some. Tell you one thing, Bill can cast, I don't see trailing loops that create wind knots and problems that come up when the wind starts blowing. Some other videos show some real gripping and ripping with that familiar whoosh, but the loops are a mess and I can't imagine having any feel for the fly after the mess crumples down on the water in a pile. Great camera work and very well thought out presentation.

For those of you who don't understand, Fistle and v0 breath clearly don't use heavy sinking heads or leaders, Weighted flies or fish fast deep water. A single spey cast using these in that kind of water can place the fly in a position that when you cast will bring it up and hit you in the face. The snap T is a sustained anchor cast that keeps the fly and leader shallow and more importantly, in a place that won't take out your damn eye.

if you rotate your upper body more and bring the rod a littlebit more back and up at the end you will load the rod more efficient, and bring more speed into the line, delivering more power on the outgoing line, important that this is done in one accelerating motion, no stops. combine this with a sharp stop in the end of the forward stroke and you will have a good cast. best of luck -jb =)

The snap-t is a pointless cast. Single spey is more efficient, quieter and less damaging to rod blanks. I agree with fistle.
@fishinwflies12 жыл бұрын
@56Nomader Jim! We should get you and fistle together. Since both of you are so full of crap, yet convinced you are awsome, well you have so much in common. Who knows, maybe you two could move in together. You guys could be the Seigfreid and Roy bad fishing information.

snap t snap ohhh my good.. I see no meaning in the art. Skandinavia spey covers all needs. without scaring the fish, and does not require any kind of exertion
@russellf24218 жыл бұрын
+Torben Pedersen ...Try the Skandinavia spey cast with the wind screaming upstream sometime. You will quickly see the value of this cast

you do realize you can also do a snap T cast with a scandi head right? the two styles are not mutually exclusive.

you so called experts in America are really confusing the spey casting ethics......it makes me really furious.....
