The beginning of the 90s, I live in Russia in a deep province and study at school, the USSR has just ended its existence, my parents somehow miraculously got a Panasonic audio recorder, which looked like a spaceship from science fiction films. Then the radio station “M-Radio” appeared, the entire playlist of which consisted of current Western music. I spent all my free time, with the telescopic antenna completely unfolded, near the tape recorder; it was a portal to some other fairy-tale world full of wonderful discoveries. And the music of Snap and KLF especially stood out

She's also the voice of the group Black Box and C&C Music Factory. 2 incredible albums during the era of music when unfortunately, lip syncing was prominent. My buddy and I got to hang out with Turbo B and all of Snap on their tour bus after a concert in Germany in 1991. We had some beers and got all of their autographs on our concert tickets. They were all so amazing and cool to us... in spite of the fact they were not supposed to be giving out autographs that night and that Turbo B's huge bodyguard tried to tear us in half when we first approached him. Special thanks to Turbo B for saving us from his bodyguard and for allowing us to have one of the coolest experiences ever by inviting us to hang out with them on the bus. I will NEVER forget that night (or their gorgeous drummer chick).

Okay I'm 42, and this just unlocked a CORE memory for me. My little friends constantly said "oops upside ya head" at random times for a variety of reasons, but I never remembered this as an actual song. I knew about " I got the power" and "rhythm is a dancer" but somehow this one got lost in my childhood memory. Lol.
