I've watched all the takes and I can strongly say that this to me is his best Lingus solo. Made me jump out of my chair, pause it like 30 times and go back, smack my head, cry and say wtf maybe 100 hundred times. Might seem like an overreaction but I miss old Cory, the harmonies are absolutely unbelievable...

Yeah holy shit not what I was expecting. So cool seeing his amazing ability to create intricate storytelling transfer to every take.

There are definitely some reaaaally phenomenal things happening in this version. If it had been just a *bit* more....for lack of a better word and without meaning any offense, "cohesive", I think it would've ended up on the record. But the take they did choose just felt, overall, the most complete. It's as if the idea/concept Cory was feeling on that take took hold completely and he executed it well. In this one (and on the other alternate take, night three, set one), it just didn't *feel* as complete. But they're all absolutely amazing solos. I'm in utter awe at this guy. What a talent.
