Another under-appreciated skill of great drummers is the ability to "make it right" - to adjust to where his fellow musicians feel the beat is, if they get pulled off by his solos (as happens multiple times). It's one thing to play with a track, and quite another to play with a band

JT is a monster. Love his sound! Plus, his playing with The RH Factor is in a pocket so deep, you need a ladder to get out. R.I.P. Roy.

Thanks Bro!! Maybe I should learn how to twirl my sticks! LOL!! Just kidding, no shade at all, cause I seriously wish I knew how to do that. :-) Thanks for checking it out man. It's crazy when one band has 2 other ridiculous drummers, Sput & Larnell, & actually now, the youngster Jamison Ross(check him too, incredible, drums & vocals). So I really preciate the love my man.... Peace... ** this comment is for everyone else too **

Alright now, don't start no stuff up in here! You know we got some Crazy fans! LOL.... As soon as I learn his(Larnell) heel/toe & that reverse hi-hat scrape thing he does, he's going down!! LMBO!! don't tell him I said that.... Peace!

Mr. Grudman, so my playing makes you laugh! So let me get this straight! I miss a few beats & now I'm nothing? I agree with what you said about L's playing, but you're comments are personal, not opinion, & they're quite disrespectful. I ain't perfect, Nobody is, not even L, but I'm far from nothing homie.

Jason, how far in advance do you know the lineup for a concert with Snarky? I'm seeing a concert on December 30 and want to know if you're playing
@JTonthedrums7 жыл бұрын
Hey man! Umm, usually I know a few months ahead of time, but I've also got 1-2 days notice a lot too. Lol! The NYE's shows Dec 30 & 31 in NYC I'm actually doing, should be a lot of fun.

2015 was more than usual, but this year was different as the Pups weren't touring as much. I'm with them I guess like 25-30% of the schedule. It varies though.

The keyboard player couldn't take a bathroom break ? He had to tinker through the whole friggin solo?!What about me😐
@willierose3332 жыл бұрын
First, there were two keyboard players playing. Second, they weren't tinkering, check out 2:48 and the bassist's reaction to that modulation. And who says a drum solo shouldn't be comped by other instruments?
@hugorezende1996 жыл бұрын
Dont KZbin guys Think that was really hard to Know where was his Cue ? I though that The solo was to messy, lots of awesome stuff, but not lrtting The rythm flow só much
@JTonthedrums6 жыл бұрын
Excuse you? Wasn't my best day, but messy? :-/ ouch...
@JTonthedrums6 жыл бұрын
Not big headed at all. Having an opinion is one thing, you don't like my playing, Cool. But, saying things like messy, or as you said, not musical, can't count, doesn't listen, is nothing, Seriously crosses the line. Problem is KZbin comments have made that line invisible, people don't even know they're being disrespectful anymore. But, if you were at this show, would you have come up to me and said any of that to my face?
@JTonthedrums6 жыл бұрын
doesn't matter at all really, people can say or feel how they want. just seems people don't know the difference between giving an honest opinion & being a jerk.
@JTonthedrums6 жыл бұрын
All good my dude! Apologies for my harshness as well! Honest, this was really not a good night, got lost in me own ideas. Mind was willing, hands & feet were like "Huh??"! Cool thing is, I've been knowing & playing with these guys(not always as the Pups) for over 10 years now(Shaun, Bobby & Sput over 25) so it happens, we laugh, keep going. Fun with the "1"...

@asheshrai7817 Жыл бұрын
anyone who has any problem with the solo, suck your thumb and learn to count since im suspecting you guys arent drummers. for me the solo was as fine as any other snarky drummer playing over this tune. also, drummers are the chillest people on the planet and there is no way larnell lewis is gonna tell you to hold his beer. learn to appreciate the free content here.... not give your free opinion. and do some research on who JT is man.
@lyfeofaj15653 жыл бұрын
Alot of what he does, I cant do, but that solo was too busy for me!! It was kind of like a singer changing keys over and over unnecessarily. Great skill, just not a great solo!!

What?
@jesus-christ12923 жыл бұрын
You are right @woodrum Dave. This solo is not good at all, he might not be so comfortable with this style but he is a great drummer telling from the way he played the first 40 seconds of this video. This is my first time to hear him play though.

Man that solo sucked the energy right out of the room like a egg fart.
