I admit I'm not the biggest fan of the Evergreen design for Optimus, but this is a very nice representation of that design and a great transforming figure. I love how clean the Truck mode is, and the way the wheel-wells fold up to become the abs. I look forward to seeing what else SND comes up with.

What i love about the figures alt-mode was that it was based off of a 2001-2014 freightliner agrosy cabover semi-truck. In 1985, optimus was a freightliner FLA cabover.

this isn't the evergreen design. the evergreen design had a much bulkier back cab no spoiler as well as the front wheels acting as the backpack

This is actually the design IDW used after Dark Cybertron but before the implementation of the Evergreen designs, one noticeable difference is that, as with earlier designs, the windscreen chest of Evergreen Optimus has the appearance of being unchanged from vehicle mode, remaining one peice unless the doors open, whereas this design has a gap between the left 'pec' and the right one, akin to the previous IDW Optimus design and evocative of the Optimus design from the first 3 Bayverse films

Pretty sure this figure is based off of Prime’s design in the All Hail Optimus comics (from what i’ve read, i’m not sure if it was used anywhere else)

I can’t say I like the faux chest on the figure, but I am excited to see 3P CHUG scale stuff again, and I’m especially happy to see the post Dark Cybertron designs getting some love. I’m probably gonna pass on this one because of the faux parts, but I would definitely buy a Galvatron from this same era if you did that one.

Looks really good, and that is an insanely complicated transformation scheme for a figure at this scale. I don't have any real 3rd party toy-scale figures, and the price is a bit higher than I want to spend, but I may need to buy this anyway.

Looks fantastic, defo going to look to pick one up, only grips: weird/cheapish grey plastic (lookin like siege apeface) heres hoping for a possible more pearlescent colouring, and the eyes being a bit to 'bug-eyed', otherwise long awaited for me personally

If the plastic looked better than shampoo bottle quality, I'd be willing to pay over $100 for this. As it is, I am extremely hesitant. It doesn't look easy to disassemble/paint either due to the prevalence of pin slides used in construction. I guess the monkey paw strikes IDW fans once again...
