@sdinaro1 situational for sure. But yes the fact he copies both makes him awesome. And I've had him copy waterpipe one turn then cel the next. You can really cripple them if you pair it right.

Hi Maul, Thank you for your excellent information.Inorder to against pertinax you need to use Bera which she runing at fast speed and her minion hit will resists target new minion. Correct me if i misunderstading it.

Good tip! Yes, Bera will make a comeback for sure. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to use Grimble and Alucard without triggering your one way trip to Owlhalla, too. Pertinax's card says "defeat" the minions, but the anti minion heroes ALL say "destroy" minions, which is, of course, different. When Zynga says "defeat", they usually mean to take enough HP damage to die. So, that's good!

Yes.....Bera, Gefjon Costume, Luna fast mana could help delay him but the only thing is who the hell LB Bera? Who 2xLB Bera? She's a jeep that you ascend and let her be.

He's powerful but if you have Gefjon Costume, or Luna which would delay him, them you're good, I'd be more afraid of Winnie.

I'm wondering if you use hero like Alucard or Grimbal, if they would activate the owl? I don't have to worry about it because, I have Loahu on my tower defense. I took Xiaotu so I can have all of the lunar heroes.

I've been looking into that and Zynga calls what they do "destroying minions". When they say "defeat", they usually mean taking enough HP damage to die. So, I think you will be able to use Grimble and Alucard without a one way ticket to Owlhalla!!

Hey Maul, what if you steal the minion, rather than killing? Would that be considered defeated? If so, can you use someone like Gefjon? It's from one enemy, but better than nothing. I'm not sure if her costume steals from nearby as well.

I believe they consider stealing to be "destroying" a minion rather than "defeating" the minion, so I bet that would work!

Yes! If you don't have Bera, then maxing Kavasir is a great counter. I foresee a 4* version coming in the near future, but for now those players that can put a 5* Druid or Barbarian troop on Kav will have a decent counter.

I think you definitely need to construct against him (Pertinax) when he's on defense. A reviver is a must I can see your heros dying in owlhala. You will need heros with 1 special that hits 3 to kill all minions at once so that only 1 hero goes there. Leaving the rest of your team to deal with him. Heros with specials like capt. of diamonds who remove all minions work to. I am curious about ginger when her special ability triggers and deals damage off of specials she is not receiving counter attack damage. I wonder if she will avoid owlhalla to? Probably too much to ask

I did a little research before answering here. If you kill all three minions at once, then 3 of your heroes will get the owlhalla treatment, so that sucks! Removing a minion is called "destroying" the minion in Zynga terms. I'm not sure if destroying a minion is the same or different than defeating a minion. Sorrow says that if her minion is "destroyed" (which is removing), so I "think" you can destroy them and it won't count as defeating them. If the minions can be destroyed by Alucard, PoD, Grimble, etc, then that wouldn't be nearly so bad. Last, Ginger and Hippo do defeat the minions, even though the damage bypasses everything, the minions do take the hit points of damage first and so they die (are defeated). Nice analysis, I think Grimble might make a comeback!
