Where is the generator placed on the electric model? Only top shrouds on the mast? Any images with solid hardtop over the helm? Can there be a dark wood interiour, perhaps walnut? What is max size dinghy (length) with motor on the electric platform?

150kg

Hi Morgan. This was just the announcement and sneak speak so we do not have all the final information but from what I know/understand here are the answers: Generator placement forward mid ship locker under sun pad Shrouds - seems like it No real images of anything yet on the 41 as they have not built hull #1 yet. I can send you pictures of the hardtop on the Isla or Astrea? No dark wood options announced yet Dinghy capacity weight 150kg. LOA TBC. Likely 10-11’. If you want me to share all the data we have received from factory I am happy to share it via email.

What's protected about the helm?
@jamestiernanyachts90213 ай бұрын
Good question. I like that is has the fiberglass arm on the starboard side by the helm seat. I feel it adds a level of separation and safety. Also I would opt for the hard top and full enclosure, see pic below. As I mention the helm position in the FP is my favorite design feature.
@jamestiernanyachts90213 ай бұрын
I cannot add the picture of the helm enclosure for some reason. If you search FP hard top and helm enclosure you will see it.

James, are you sure about the draft? Isn't it really 1,35m instead of 1,53m?
@fluffi81612 ай бұрын
Maybe he was on it by the measure...

There is two mixed numbers right now. Once I get a final answer I will confirm for sure.

@@jamesbrown1501 working on getting final confirmation. There has been two numbers published, 1.35m and 1.53m. Seems as though the last two numbers have been mixed up. I am hoping it is the deeper keel myself but it is more likely it is the smaller number. 1.53m (5') is deeper than the current Tanna 47. But even 1.35m is still deeper than our 45 and 47 so either way we should see a great improvement up wind. It will be interesting to see how the deeper draft and increased sail area balances out the increased weight with adding things like the platform. My speculation is that upwind performance will be nicely improved. If either of you would like the online file of resources I have please text or email me and I will send it to you. +1 (832) 849 7322 or jt@jtiernan.com Thanks again for your engagement guys.

@@jamestiernanyachts9021 I believe the correct draft is 1.35 but im sure you will confirm in due course. Is the base price (ex VAT )of the boat Euro395,000 and solar panels, fridge, fridge freezer, grill, lifting rear platform ,optional extras? Thankyou.

Elektro drive to big batterie bank awfull small, for that e.drive 100kw batterie is minimum
@jamestiernanyachts90212 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing your opinion. I think it’s all about what you are trying to achieve. Motoring at full battery capacity which is 42KWH, of 5.5knts for 7 hours or at anchor you could run the AC for 17 hours. The real benefit is sailing with hydro regen. The is the electric drives that work as hydrogenators when under sail. Combine this with the new helicoid wind generators and back up diesel generator to me it seems like a great setup.

@@fluffi8161 interesting. Honestly I am far from an electrical engineer so I’m not going to get into a debate. What is your electrical background? I’ll happily introduce to the engineers at FP to let them know the 25 boats they have in the water don’t work.

you are announcing an "initial walk through" and then you come up with your 90ies style slide show???? More primitive it can not be.
@jamestiernanyachts90212 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching and engaging. Apologies if I miss led you. The purpose of the video was to give my feedback on the announcement and a sneak peak of what is to come. I am not 100% sure what you mean by 90’s slide show, this is a 3D video that Fountaine Pajot created. I thought it was amazing how real and detailed this technology has come. Do you think Fountaine Pajot could do a better job with the 3D video? Thanks again for creating a topic of conversation. I look forward from hearing more from you. I have many more videos of the same quality, some better and some worse. You can check and critique these also if you would like?

Can you help me find where you are quoting me on "Initial walk through" so I can edit? My description I thought was quite clear: "Take the first glimpse and explore the New Fountaine Pajot 41 with me…. This is the very early look at the New 41. As we get more information I will make something more professional and well put together but for now this is my quick, initial reaction to the launch of this amazing new design. "
