Why didn’t John & his adult children stop Shannon from leaving if she was intoxicated & emotional as he states. Wouldn’t any normal person stop a person from getting into a car where someone could be killed? I know I would especially if I were in a relationship for years with the person.

yep, now that we know more details, he should be held legally resposible for dispensing the booze & letting her get behind the wheel, he should have calmed her down, talked sense into her & called an uber or yhe police. His kids are adults? they all should have been working to de-escalate the situation and nake better decisions. They should have let shannon know they would call the po po if she was gonna get behind the wheel. Sounds like they were ALL too intoxicated but unfortunately she was at his house rather than he at hers.
