I think they did say something about the Fox platform
@413x398Ай бұрын
@@NightWrencher Hearsay, I guess. Foxes are fine, but there are tons of unibody and full-frame earlier cars out there.

How about 60-63 Falcons?
@NightWrencherАй бұрын
I havnt heard any news about that chassis but the DIY kits will get you there if you can do the math. If not, I would email them and ask what they got

I don’t understand. When the third gen came out, everyone complained about the torque arm set up. To much Power and it does not work. Now all of a sudden a slap an aftermarket name on it and it’s better? And they offer this for mustangs, and other models. Deptoit speed did the same thing with the torque are and the triangulated 4 link, like the 70 chevelle, newer gbody’s and the mustang. And once again, slap a big name on it and it improves. Come on, really? This of us older to remember when these cars came out heard all the complaints. First it was poly bushings, then heim joint control arms, now it’s a total frame under a unibody. I guess if you watch discover channel and think that is actual car building you fall for it. It’s all the same stuff different decade.

Are you saying torque arms dont work or torque arms in third gen camaros dont work?
@DavidB7474Ай бұрын
@ I’m saying the original design used in 1982-1992 third gen, fbody platform leaved a lot to be desired. Poly bushings in the front, adjustable and a stronger torque arm design. I’ve seen them in aftermarket form, in fox body mustangs and second gens. Leaf springs may not be the best setup, but the old black spectre Camaro ran basic bolt on suspension from hotchkiss. And that car was competitive with all the big names at the time. It’s kind of like every lowered obs runs ride tech, and that factory platform is not a great a design to begin with. But somehow lowering, and c notching the frame reducing strength, and adding tubular control arms with poly bushings that bind with the eccentric adjustment design makes it better cause it’s a big name? Go back to the 80’s and 90’s and see all the same stuff that has gotten new marketing and it’s the same stuff.

@ the factory torque arms in the third gens were not great. Maybe the new ones are designed better.
