Wow I am so excited coz I am flying to Cebu in July and August from outside the country and hopefully will be using this airport already. It looks like the Bangkok airport but the inside of this airport is mostly wood. I hope the Pinoy"s and foreigners respect the proper use of the facilities of this new airport. Have you seen Clark intl? It’s very similar to Cebu. GMR-megawide is the company that supports Cebu, Clark, and possible NAIA in the near future!

Great video Kryz. I worked for the US Embassy in Aviation Security for 7 years there in Manila and one of the airports that was on my radar was of course Mactan. I visited there almost every months as we worked to try and secure the airport in an effort to get authorization for US flights to come direct to Mactan as opposed to going to Manila, Hong Kong or Seoul first. From the little I can see this might be the start of this possibility coming alive once again and to be honest it is a change that would be welcomed by many ex pats and those of us married to Filipinos. Good luck to the Authority and I wish them all well in this new endeavor. Thank you for making this information available to those of us on the other side of the world. Again, very informative video.

Thank you Pnoy for this wonderful airport in Cebu. Kahit si Duterte nagulat kahapon sa inauguration speech nya sa Cebu. Kasi di nya akalain ganito kaganda ang airport. Mismo sya gulat kasi nga hindi nya project yan. Kaya umayos ang DOTR sa post nila nakahashtag pa na #buildbuildbuild eh ang totoo under Public private partnership program po yan ni Pnoy. Sinimulan gawin yan ng gmr megawide year 2015z

Im proud to be cebuano. Mag 11 years na ako dito sa Yokohama. Parang osanbashi ang dating ng new cebu airport I like it. Ang maganda sa Cebu my direct flight to Japan and also dito sa Japan pag sinabing sa Philippinas ang pupuntahan mo, mag dadalawang isip ang mga hapon at sasabihan ka na take care ha. Pero pag cebu ang direction mo, sasabihin nila wow ingit ako. Kase safe ang cebu at walang mga anomalya sa airport. :)

jerry ponce yes bai.. daghan kau kog Japanese friends. Kung manila or Philippines ilang adtuan kay mag worry ang ilang friends or family. Pero kung mo ingon sila na Cebu kay ma envy daun ang ilang kaila. Kay nahimung mindset sa mga hapon ang Cebu as tourists destination like hawai. :) ang musantup sa ilang hunahuna kay white beaches daun hehe. Miss Kyrz kindly suggest the construction of the airport should put a walkalator instead of using elevators daily so every passenger will use the walkalator with luggages same at the Changi Airport in Terminal 1. This airport is cool. Wow! We have an airport that we can compete to other airports all over the world. I love the concept more inspiration about Cebu. Keep it up 👍🏻

They should have followed the international standard in naming airports. Should be Cebu Mactan International Airport where the name of the bigger/better known city the airport serves comes first to avoid confusion especially to international travelers unfamiliar with "Mactan". Like London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Berlin Tegel, Berlin Schönefeld, Tokyo Haneda, Tokyo Narita, Seoul Incheon, Singapore Changi, Shanghai Pudong, Taipei Taoyuan, etc.

Oh wow!. Singapore almost all plants inside are real! It's beautiful, but still needs lots of work to be at par with Changi. Like the immigration counter, why not having the locals or Filipino residents have an auto scanners. But definitely is way better than NAIA. Hopefully, service will be more orderly in all aspects.
