I am sorry, but I tend to disagree. I do think it is a part of their job and the money they make for doing 11-12 charters a season depends on what the crew does during that charter, from time to time. The more outrageous things they do for their guests results in better money. We all know it's TV entertainment and some of the things they do may not appeal to some viewers.

As a child of the Seventies, here in Canada, we just called these swimsuits. I did learn why Aussies call them Budgie Smugglers😮. Literally, earlier today, I told my mum. She was like, "Oh good God! A real captain is who knows how to make positive approach in order to lead a crew to expand their capabilities and develop new skills, he was not giving a totalitarian ultimatum , instead he believed in the crew and made the right approach of boosting the morale and confidence and it resulted of accomplishment and success, that’s what leadership means, well done to the captain and bravo to the chef

I think guests expecting this kind of stuff is demeaning and degrading. The crew needs to say no for this reason. Imagine if they demanded some such from the female crew. There would be a riot of disgust and disapproval.

What if I said your voice is too low and you need to speak, from now on, in a higher pitch bc it’s irritating to others? Not so easy to do, is it? Be nice!
