Temperature does not affect the result but UV-index does. Google the UV-index in your location, the higher the better. UV-index is often higher in the summer.

Yes, I use dish soap on the rubber sole and boost. You can use it on your sole and upper, just make sure that your soap doesn't leave color marks on the shoe. A better alternative would be to use washing detergent on the upper knit.
