There are certain releases that seemed to be produced in large numbers but sat on shelves these past few months (ex: Reimagined Royal 1’s) - I think there was a large consensus that shared their discontent for the sneaker before it even released. I would love to know the discussions in Jordan brand meetings because there seems to be a disconnect with consumers and how to meet high anticipation/demand for models like the Bred 1’s releasing 2/14 smh

I love the pics of the BRED 1s with the Slam Dunk manga because that and the anime series is how I got to know this shoes and the other Jordans + classic basketball sneakers as well. I know MJ and his greatness back then when I was still in Elem School in the early to mid 90s. But the Slam Dunk anime is what made me try basketball back in Highschool and love it. Same with sneakers. When I finally knew what that Black and Red shoes Hanamichi Sakuragi is wearing that made me into a sneakerhead til to this day. I still have my gripes that I didn't got that Banned B-Grade Breds back in 2011 because of that raffle mechanic. But I got my Royal Reimagined recently last Christmas and for me that would suffice.

Thank you for speaking up for all of us. I have been struggling with it but I am finally coming to grips with the reality that I will not be able to get them. It is super frustrating but it is what it is at this point. If you get a chance to speak to Jordan Brand, please let them know that they dropped the ball. I (perhaps we as a collective) are no longer interested in patent, satin, or other hybrid versions of the sneaker. The masses want the OG version. We should not have to wait another decade to get them either. Now that they have the mold, do the right thing and release the sneaker for us all.

I see this as a brilliant plan by Nike to help get rid of the Reimagined Black Toe’s and try to build the AJ1 back up. Those Black Toes were going to flop and they knew it. Push the date back, make limited pairs of an extremely sought after AJ1 which will cause buyers to look at the Reimagined Black Toe’s! They will get rid of a lot of pairs this way. I’ll be honest, I was passing on the Black Toes for the 85s but since hearing the news on availability, Iv moved on to the obtainable one.
