The dent on the toe box is from the factory machine that the shoes go into when they are pressing the midsole/sole onto the shoe. Due to the “leather” type, it is more susceptible to these indents.

The marking in the toebox I believe comes from the factory when they press the upper of the shoe to glue to the sole. I had the exact same thing in my J4 bred. I checked out videos about the assembly process and saw the press. You can remove it with a damp cloth and a hot iron.

I had the dents… believe it or not you can hair dryer it out fairly easy, maybe use a damp tissue n massage it out… after 5 minutes i got them out on all my pairs. The dents are from the Tongues not the heels. You see it as you said, n it actually is strong enough at the ridge bump. I’m stoked for them too, they can be dressed preppy or “street”.

Of course the white cements will be the standout pair because they're "pre-aged", but with the fire reds and now black cements coming out true to original form, I'm really holding out hope that the true blues come out the same way, and _soon._

Love the review! Tongue tag will let you know what factory your specific pair was made in LN3 factory seems to be the best in terms of QC. At the end of the day, you gotta wear your shoes. Complaining about quality on Jordans is like yelling at Clouds for covering up the sun, it won’t make a difference.

i love my pair, i just wish the tongue was a little thinner. the hang tag used to come with the plastic ring, back in the day. the chain didnt come till later. i got EA after the shock drop and my pair came in just fine. ive seen pairs with bad painting, glue in odd places, etc. im still wearing the bred4s atm so that i can retire the 2019 pair for now. also with it being leather, i can wear it out in the rain!

I was “so lucky with exclusive access” I bought 2 pairs one for myself and one for my girl. Both arrived and had horrendous creases in the toe box !! So gutted I had to return them. Nike QC is a joke £190 for a shoe I can’t keep. Love your videos bro 👊🏻 gg keep it going!!!!

So I could confidently say… it’s every left shoe I had 3 size 10.5 every single left shoe had a defect (I’ve returned 2) 1 from the shock drop and 2 from footlocker I finally got one today that isn’t as bad with the glue stain but my god the QC was terrible Nike sent me one with a hole in the sock liner, footlocker 1 sent me one where the paint was scrubbed off the leather and footlocker 2 🤷🏽‍♂️ I said I give up and kept it with minor glue stain. All in all tho I love the shoe and the actual 89 color

Got an L on snkrs for my true to size 9.5 and my friend was going for his size a 10. About 10 minutes into the drop when i got notified on my L i went up a half size to a 10 and immediately got a W my friend got an L even after entering before me, but its all good he had already gotten a pair in a 10.5 he was just trynna get his true to size 10 we gonna go to see if we can find myself a 9.5 somewhere maybe some returns to nike outlets 🤷🏻‍♂️ hope i find it 😂😂

Great Review Jordan take look at 89 pair I put up on my channel if get chance. Mannn it’s full grain leather you can’t compare “soft” polyurethane coated leather to full grain leather eg The AJ 1 Yellow Ochre leather to a pair of 85 high leather (is full grain) I actually quit collecting retros due to 2012 Quality of the University I mean “military” blue 4s & how about those Team Red I mean fire red 4s. Only Jordan’s w great leather in 2012 were the obsidian 12s , a shoe that needs a retro. I love all the non bulls OG colorways hold special place w me from Royals to True Blue 3s, these , Grape 5s, Sport Blue & Maroon 6s , Bordeaux & Olympic 7s , Aqua 8s , etc

Shoes are manufactured at least six months before their release. Add to that a global supply chain and numerous people will have these shoes months before their official release. Many sellers will move their products before release for a premium and Nike itself does shock drops and exclusive access weeks or even months prior to their official release.
