@loverofhumanity
@loverofhumanity 27 күн бұрын
Not even tbh....any decent role player that played at a competitive high school school would be a Lebron level player. Women's basketball is much lower than men. A lot of it is because even an average athlete basketball player is infinitely more athletic than any player in women's basketball. Go look at Caitlin Clark she can hardly get off the ground. It's the same with most women. That's unheard of for any decent male player.

@@misterwalker6692Yeah, but they're not men, so it's kinda dumb to compare them. 99% of men couldn't compete if given the same biological constraints. If the average man were to experience the physical attributes of a female athlete-things like muscle composition, endurance levels, and hormonal differences-he wouldn’t even come close to matching their skill or athleticism. These women not only work just as hard, but they excel within their own competitive field. Their accomplishments are built on relentless training and perseverance, which is why they’ve earned a place in professional sports. The existence of separate divisions recognizes that different athletic qualities don’t devalue their hard work or success.
@Imatochyou
@Imatochyou 24 күн бұрын
@@musicthemusicalperson4316what, are you trying to make excuses for them?😂 God did not design women for sports and that’s that. If men didn’t have the physical ability to play sports, it would have been the same way but that isn’t the case. It’s just natural selection….Everyone was born either a male or a female. But it’s up to you to figure out and put use to your unique abilities as a male or a female. If you want to play sports as a female, you’re just going to be ass at it. If you want to nurture your children as a male, you’re just gonna be ass at it and is even impossible.🤷‍♂️
@musicthemusicalperson4316
@musicthemusicalperson4316 23 күн бұрын
@@Imatochyou First of all, this argument about "God's design" and natural selection doesn't hold up under scrutiny. Sports performance is not some fixed, binary outcome based purely on gender; it's a complex combination of skill, training, and yes, physical attributes, but not in the way you're implying. There are countless examples of women excelling in sports on the global stage-Serena Williams in tennis, Simone Biles in gymnastics, and WNBA players outperforming many male counterparts in skill-focused aspects of basketball. Are we going to call them "ass" just because they’re women? No. Claiming that "natural selection" automatically makes men superior in sports is both overly simplistic and scientifically inaccurate. Natural selection is about adaptation to environments, not about reinforcing arbitrary gender roles in modern sports. Women are also biologically equipped with high levels of endurance, agility, and coordination, which are essential in many sports. In fact, studies have shown that in ultra-endurance events, women often perform at the same or even better levels than men. And your argument about nurturing is just outdated gender stereotyping. Men can and do nurture children effectively, just as women can excel at sports. That idea of rigid gender roles belongs in the past. The world isn’t black and white like you're making it seem-there’s a wide spectrum of abilities in both men and women, and it's time to acknowledge that instead of clinging to narrow, outdated views. To say women are "ass" at sports is not only disrespectful but demonstrably false. Women have their own leagues, competitions, and champions who have been breaking records and pushing boundaries for decades. It's about time you catch up. Alright, let's approach this philosophically and break down the flaws in the argument. Your claim about "God not designing women for sports" and invoking natural selection is a form of essentialism-the idea that gender determines the intrinsic abilities and roles of individuals. Philosophically, essentialism has been widely criticized because it ignores the complexities of human potential and reduces individuals to fixed categories. By stating women are inherently “ass” at sports, you're not only essentializing women but also denying them agency and individuality. You're taking the position that biology defines worth, which is a flawed and deterministic view of humanity. Take Aristotle, who believed that virtues like courage, endurance, and intelligence are cultivated through practice and habit, not through innate biological traits. Athleticism, like any other skill, is developed through training and experience, not limited by gender. Women's capabilities in sports are a result of the same perseverance and effort that men exhibit, but your argument dismisses this in favor of an oversimplified biological determinism. Next, your argument rests on a false dichotomy: the idea that men are good at sports and women are not, and that men are poor at nurturing and women excel at it. This creates a binary that doesn’t hold up under scrutiny. Thinkers like Simone de Beauvoir have pointed out that such binaries are social constructs, not natural facts. Gender roles, including in sports, are shaped by society, not “natural selection.” Throughout history, women have been excluded from opportunities in sports, and yet we now see female athletes breaking barriers despite those systemic constraints. So, your argument conflates social limitations with natural ones, which is a clear fallacy. Additionally, natural selection itself doesn’t care about sports or societal roles. The principle of natural selection is about reproductive fitness in an evolutionary context, not whether someone can excel at basketball or be a good parent. By invoking it here, you're misapplying a scientific concept to justify a social hierarchy that you seem invested in maintaining. From a moral philosophy standpoint, your claim violates the principle of individual dignity. According to Immanuel Kant's "categorical imperative," each person must be treated as an end in themselves, not as a means to an end. Dismissing women as inherently inferior athletes simply based on gender denies them the respect and recognition owed to them as individuals who can excel through their own efforts and talents. It turns women into mere representatives of a group you deem biologically inferior, which is ethically unjustifiable. In short, your argument is rooted in an outdated essentialism, reinforced by social constructs, and based on a misapplication of natural selection. It ignores the individual potential of women athletes, denies them their dignity, and relies on lazy generalizations rather than a nuanced understanding of human capability. Philosophically, it's indefensible.

As a woman who played D2 and then played pro in Germany... playing men is just not even if they go serious. I play pick ups with the guys but I can score maybe open 3 pointers or anything they allow me to get at best. But High school and college guys kill me with insane first step speed and jumping for rebounds. It's obvious these guys took it easy and some just aren't very good. Plus they gave the ladies team every foul call.

Shows nothing! Put a wnba team against an elite high school boys team. Let’s see what happens.

I think an average boys HS basketball team would destroy the wnba champs. Every. Single. Time.
@TrustNRuss
@TrustNRuss 9 күн бұрын
@ I don’t think they can handle the skill set of a pro wnba team. They’re really good. But not athletic enough to keep up with a college team. But would be a good match for an elitie high school team.

@@TrustNRussIf ur HS is losing to any 5 women on the planet they are extremely ahh. That is no diss to the ladies who work hard and are very skilled but in no way should they be able to biologically compete in a game of basketball w grown 16,17,18 yr olds

@@anthonycalobrisi858 skill can’t beat athleticism! Kids lack discipline. Take tons of bad shots. Make even more bad passes. Terrible decisions will be made on the court. That pros will exploit the holes in there game and win. That’s why I separated elite hs teams 🆚 normally ones.

Literally no one is claiming you can though. That's what's so pathetic about these comments shitting on women. It's just an excuse to shit on women. Literally no one contests that. It’s unfair to devalue their achievements just because they compete under different biological conditions, as their success is a testament to their talent and dedication.
